Good 50/50 heavyweight fight. Picking Wallin.

Good matchup. I'd favor Wallin as well.

An excellent matchup. There can be fireworks. I pick Wallin to stop Breazeale.

Even when it's a short fight Breazeale is always in a fun fight.
Looking forward to this one.

is Breazeale looking for one more shot? Or is he just after a paycheck. If the former, I'd give him a good chance here. If not, it's lights out and a move up the rankings for Wallin.

I doubt Breazeale wins even if he's taking it as serious as he possibly can. He's just not very good.

He does have power. So it's not out of the question that he could be losing clear, and catch Wallin with a come from behind KO shot, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Just two evenly matched arguably top 25 heavys who are former world title challengers clashing in a decent fight. These are the kind of fights I love to see. Sure it’s a paycheck but doesn’t mean it’s not for pride too. We need more 50/50 fights from the big guys to spice up the sport and get the public interested again.

That's what was missing more than wlad dominating. Fights like Morrison/hipp. Has breazeale fought since wilder? All things normal I'd take him here.

He has not. I’m guessing that’s due to a combo of things. First is the need for a layoff after being brutally manhandled by Wilder. Second is that he probably got a solid payday from Wilder fight. Third is COVID.

Fury fights down and up to the level of opposition and that was a nasty cut. I think breazeale wills past him.

A few years ago I would have went with Breazeale mostly because Wallin was unknown. Breazeale has power & a big heart but his chin is very vulnerable as he has been dropped in almost every fight with an opponent who can crack. He has been inactive the last few years for the most part & Wallin has been gaining experience. He beat former prospect Granat, made a good showing against Fury (close to a TKO stoppage from cuts) & beat Travis Kauffman. I have this as a close matchup on paper but I think Wallin is going to have his coming out party with a mid to late round stoppage.

Nice fight.

I'd be inclined to go for Wallin over Breazele as he seems tougher overall, but Dominic might ask some questions of Otto, providing he can remain upright long enough.

This is a decent fight, I don’t see whoever wins going on to anything particularly great but it should be an entertaining one.

Right, Breazeale is just a big and strong guy, who has still been vulnerable against threatening opposition. Up to the date Wallin looks much more composed as a boxer and tough as a fighter.

Breazeale's limitations were exposed by Fred Kassi and again by Amir Mansour but (correct me if i'm wrong) I think the first man to drop him was Anthony Joshua. Breazeale was way too tough for his own good and he took an almighty shellacking from Joshua. Personally I don't think he has ever been the same since, I think the beatdown damaged him physically and psychologically.

I've been guilty of underrating Wallin. I thought he lost a close one to Adrian Granat although that might have been due to confirmation bias as I had considered Granat to be Sweden's best prospect at heavyweight. I think Granat has retired now having lost this showdown after his shocking one round blow out at the hands of Alexander Dimitrenko.

I think Wallin has too much now for the shell of Dominic Breazeale.

Be fair it wasn't easy. I may have had the result wrong but it was close either way.

Official scorecards have been wide of the mark many times, but I will admit defeat. I won't be one who insists he's right and the rest of the world don't know what they are talking about.

Maybe I saw it the way I was expecting to see it. That can often be a problem in judging fights. I did say that might be case (confirmation bias) in my post that prompted you and Maggie to comment.
