Obviously, a troublesome year for boxing, just like for any sport. Still had quite an amount of good fights.

Here's my top 10:

1. Zepeda-Baranchyk
2. Povetkin-Whyte
3. Fury-Wilder
4. Helenius-Kownacki
5. Estrada-Cuadras
6. Davis-Santa Cruz
7. Ioka-Tanaka
8. Joyce-Dubois
9. Charlo-Derevyanchenko
10. Roman-Akhmadaliev

How do you see it?

I saw your Top 4 and enjoyed 'em all. The Zepeda vs Baranchyk fight was ridiculous. You seldom ever see something like that.

Fury/wilder doesn't belong, excellent performance, not a great fight.

One-sided fights often aren't exciting, but Fury-Wilder isn't the case, because it was one-sided in an unexpected fashion and it was rough, action-packed. Simply a fun beatdown to watch.

Yea it’s a fun fight, a role reversal.

Heavyweights always get ridiculous love, I guess because they're predominantly the biggest events. Holyfield/Tyson was similarly one sided and somehow foty. Ali/foreman is another one. I think foreman/Frazier might ha e got it.

Yeah Foreman vs Frazier as Fight of the Year is one of the more mystifying choices.

Holyfield vs Tyson was interesting, but can't compare to Gatti vs Wilson Rodriguez or Barrera vs Kennedy McKinney in 1996.

Hearns/Duran was exciting, best fights are good/great bouts. In your defense it wasn't a loaded year but that was just a beatdown.

That's been said, there are two divisions: HW and the others.

However, I agree on Foreman-Frazier, cause it's just a too short beatdown.

To be fair, Holyfield’s body was amazing that night. How would you rate his body? 9 out of 10?

At HW Holyfield has always been a specimen, but not too bulked. Just a definition of athleticism, without anything lacking or extra, 10 out of 10.

I don't get what you're saying.

Holyfield always had a powerfully built physique. Even as an old man.

Yes I agree, very attractive as an old man but perhaps not as attractive as Sean Connery.

So you're sexually attracted to Holyfield and Sean Connery?

Alright. Good for you I guess

So few good fights these days I lose track. Still don't get fury/wilder being on the list but I guess I'm in the minority.

No disrespect, I feel similarly about Tank - Santa Cruz. A good Ko and fun fight but not a top 10 fight IMO.

Fury - Wilder is sort of elevated by its status. Was for the Ring Mag and lineal heavyweight championship. That’s a big fight especially when it ends in a hugely surprising KO.

No doubt it was big, that's what I was saying earlier, big event doesn't equal foty to me. I thought Davis/LSC was pretty good.
