For anyone who's interested..

never really understand eurosport, they show fights i thought they never show. shame they dont show fights in Oz or Japan,places like that.

Yeah, bit gutted about that - it was scheduled as "an international contest" all week - so I assumed a Beyer repeat or an Aurino fight. Instead we get a more significant fight a comeback of a former P4P contendor and I blomming missed it.

The most strangest contest I saw on Eurosport was probably Alverez vs Mendoza III - a very strange one to be showing for a European sports channell. I'm not complaining, it was a smashing little contest and I caught it.

The reason they show those "strange fights" is that Eurosport has a contract the promotor (or co-promotor).

Eurosprt used to show 'classic' fights. I saw a few years ago on Eursport Hagler V Hamasho and Ali V Ellis.

It was only british Eurosport that showed the classic fights. We had small live cards from around Europe

I remember seeing those fights on Eurosport (or was it Screensport?) too, but it was more than a few years ago. Might be something like 10 years.

I am sure I have a early 1990's Bonecrusher Smith fight on Screensport.

Eurosports did have the rights to ESPN's "Superbouts" series, they showed Leonard vs Hagler with Steve Holdsworth on commentary about 5-6 years ago.

It had the "Superbouts" graphics but no Al Bernstein intro and no US commentary.

I love the way British Eurosport's schedule is so shit. They show boxing as being scheduled but no boxing comes on. Then sometimes they have the shittest fight advertised and televise something worth watching - like the freitas fight. What the fornicate are the playing at?

You're right, their schedule is shit. I was very surprised when i changed the channel and seen Freitas fighting last night.

The danish program e-mail service wroks great, must be a british problem.

Been there and for the majority it say international contest or shows the same bout. Between Eurosport 1 and 2 I think Beyer vs the Japanese fighter (Good little fight though) is shown 4 times in the next two weeks. Surely not the case.

Bonecrusher vs. Everett Martin was on Screensport, vs. Wingfield as well as Elijah Tillery & Lionel Butler were on Eurosport. I don't think I caught Billups or Tillman-fights...

I clearly remember Al saying he scored it for Hagler whilst mentioning that he had, just after the fight bumped into the judge that had scored it for Hagler. The judge was looking a bit sheepish according to Al and said to him "Sorry, I scored it for Hagler" Al said he replied to the judge "So did I".
