Hell I thought Taylor lost narrowly to Cory Spinks so I think he'd lose quite handily to Martinez. Possibly by KO if Martinez was firing on all cylinders like he was at his very best.

Taylor fought even with wright and hopkins in his prime. He was a second from stopping pavlik and about 30 seconds from beating froch
Hes underrated because of a bad performance against spinks

He might be slightly underrated, but I think for the most part people aren't impressed by him because he never impressed. He never won in clear cut dominant fashion against anybody. He was always in close, tough fights or he was getting beat.
Sergio Martinez won in spectacular fashion on a few occasions against the level of guys that Taylor looked mediocre against.

Taylor seemed to fight to his competition level
Id think this is a close fight. I could see taylor edging it because judges liked him but in reality its 50/50

He fought better when he fought Kelly Pavlik than he had in any of his previous title defenses basically, and he still wound up taking a KO loss.
I think even at his best he loses to Sergio. It'd be competitive, not a blowout, but Sergio had an extra gear that Taylor just didn't have.
