Morales vs Barrera: The Best Rivalry of the Millenium?

Reviewing the career of Erik "El Terrible" Morales, his biggest and loathed rival was his countryman Marco Antonio Barrera.

Their trilogy was as razor-thinned and as close that you can get.

It is hard for me to decide which was the better fighter. But, in my view, Barrera edges it in a close margin.

Was this the best rivalry since the year 2000?

It's a one of the best, but the best is Pacquiao-Marquez. The Barrera-Morales trilogy had the relatively restrained second fight. Also, it had quite clear winners, although the judges still managed to f*ck it up. Fights of the Pacquiao-Marquez rivalry were always intense and very close.

No

Pacquiao v Marquez is better

Izzy Vasquez and Rafael Marquez should get honorable mention too

this was a great trilogy , not just for the boxing, but i loved the bitterness erik had for barrera called him posh ,
erik become one of my all time favourite fighters after them fights he was such a brawler even if he was winning , he said i dont care i come to entertaine the crowd , the best commentary ive heard ,morales v pac man rd 12 ,his father told him ,dont do anything stupid ,be cautious,he switches southpaw and gets hit by a massive left hand ,I think morales wants to fight
