He would have been 79 today.
Ironically, the greats Joe Frazier and George Foreman had birthdays this month. What a trilogy of fighters!

Yes gone but not forgotten. His legend lives on. He certainly made an impact like no other. He passed away on June 3 2016 at age 74.

Ironically he amazingly outlived both Joe Frazier and Ken Norton.

I remember this song from my childhood. I think Ali was coming to the back nine of his career when i heard this.

the song came out in 1975.
I do remember back in the days when you had to go see the Big Fights
at the Movie House or some other venue on closed-circuit satellite.
If you didnt have the money,you would listen to the radio
in the evening and they would relay on it what someone there
was telling how the fights were going round by round ( from a pay-phone)but there was always adelay of course.
they usually played this song a coupe of times in between.
the last time I had heard it was the Ali vrs Holmes fight in 1980.
