Junior Witter will defend his European title against Gianluca Branco on February 19th at the Staples Center, Los Angeles. This could be good exposure for Junior if he puts on a good show.

Hope this will be the deal breaker in terms of UK TV coverage then.
Just reading yesterday "UK coverage still undecided..."
Now, is there a country in the world that wouldn't televise their man fighting for the world's undisputed middleweight title?!
Fighting the P4P number one fighter in the world to boot....
For f***s sake it's ridiculous - just shows you how the game has fallen on hard times over here.
Forget the BBC. Sky HAVE to show this fight - they advertise themselves as BOXING channel - and charge customers for the priviledge.
If they pass on this fight I'll know for sure it's WBU crap all the way and cancel my subscription immediately.

Is this the only time the EBU title is defended outside of Europe?

Where was this initially reported? It's not on the Hennessy website.

I'm over the moon for Witter, gets him some good exposure in front of the US fight fans, lets just hope he puts in a magic performance

Right looks like OPI have revealed it before Hennessy did.

Christ, this card has to be on TV. I know Hennessy would be unlikely to get anything like the money off them, but I'm surprised Bravo haven't tried to steal a march on Sky here. They've done live footy, and this would (as far as my limited understanding of TV goes) be even simpler: no outside vroadcast unit of their own, just rebroadcasting the pictures sent over from the states and putting their own chat over the top.

Okay, but none in a major card in the US. I'm just wandering if this is permitted.

Good news for Witter, he needs to look devestating to get the USA media talking about him in a poitive way.

Maybe if Witters devastating and blows Branco out in a round or 2 they will show him.

Very good decision for Witters career if he wins. I think hennassy has done absolutly the right thing by his fighter hear. Have the BBC shown any interest in this one I would really hope they have.

Of course to look at the negative side of things Witter could always stink the place out like he did against Judah and then we are all back to square one

Only joking, i am glad Witter-Branco is on a big card, Branco is not unknown after his fight with Gatti as well which is a bonus. Mick Hennessy is Britian's best promoter at the moment IMO he certainly puts on the most competetive shows.

A very brave fight for Branco to take.
I would have thought this to be a step backwards for him.
Or has he seen something??

REAL DEAL thinks this is a good fight and could mean a mandatory fight fight for the winner, dont think no one would fight either witter or branco if it wasnt a mandatory fight fight.

Witter is vastly underrated I think, I hope he puts on a good show against Branco - expect him to win by stoppage mid rounds.
If he can impress over there could well see him closer to a title shot. A fight with Harris would be good, Hennessy can make that I hope.
