It could be a slugfest. Patterson would make it a fight, Qawi would take it. Patterson was explosive, but chinny, while Qawi was slick and harsh. Still Patterson could get to Qawi, but if Qawi managed to avoid Patterson's best shots and time good counters to those, Patterson could end up KOed. I can easily see someone scoring a KO early on.

Qawi definitely has the tools to rattle Patterson a few times, but I think Patterson is probably able to weather the storm, and either outbox Qawi or possibly stop him later on in the fight.

IMO, Patterson wins this by Unanimous Decision or late stoppage.

This is a better weight for Floyd. I think he get's rocked early but settles down and with better speed and power outboxes Qawi to a UD, by something like 5 pts.

It would be a classic war with Qawi would pressure Patterson with his swarming style to make the fight closer, but in the later rounds, Patterson would out-counter Qawi with good heavy blows to take a split decision in 15 rounds.
