fights that sucked in one part but were really good in another

just thinking if anyone has any examples of this
im watching a sucky fight now through 4 rounds : easter vs martin , and would love for it to break into a slobber knocker
i remember victor ortiz vs berto 1, they traded 2-3 kds each in the first half and it was great stuff. but then the last 6 were basically non stop holding and falling into each other, which is why i could never buy into it being fight of the year even though lots said it was

Loma/Teo was much better the second half.

Frampton - Quigg is the obvious example that comes to mind. Gallagher completely fvcked the tactics on that one and Scott did nothing for the first 6 rounds; second half was good though.

At the risk of being controversial, I'll go with the Rumble In The Jungle. Edge of the seat stuff early on because of Foreman's power, then both seem knackered from about round 3 onwards and pretty stodgy stuff ensues for a number of rounds, then the combination pretty much out of nowhere that ends it.

Benn-Galvano 2. A snoozefest apart from Nigel getting clipped in the final few seconds and looking a bit wobbly. And then Galvano celebrating as though it warranted him getting the points verdict, the dolt.

I've just watched this again,did Galvano think the ref had stepped in at the end ?

Mike Jones and Randall Bailey - 11 rounds of tedium, punctuated by two big punches, one of them ending the fight.
Chris John Rocky Juarez II - Small moment of drama late in the 12th where Juarez hurt him but couldn't finish it off.

I must admit, I'd not watched it since fight night, but just have now. You may be right. Nigel would certainly have been in a world of trouble if it had landed 30 seconds earlier.
