I don’t think so. By most accounts Povetkin was severely impacted by Covid whilst Whyte would have been solely focused on getting himself ready.
Whyte was boxing great in the first fight too and got caught with a great shot. Whyte will have worked on this whilst Povetkin may not have the same fitness, power or recovery powers as he did in their first fight.
I see Whyte winning inside of 3 rounds.

Pov can whack. Its kinda amazing, not many 220lb old white guys have true power but pov is one of them. Sounds like he got rattled by covid, and if thats true i think he should of taken even more time or more reallisticaly just retired. Pov can absolutly still chin whyte, but i only think he has 3 or 4 rounds to do it. one of them is getting knocked out early in my opinion.

A prediction is kinda hard. Whyte is now longer off the roids than ever before, his confidence might also be suffering.

Povetkin didn't 'get lucky' the first time.
He found an opening and took full advantage.
Whyte will be the favourite again though, more so than the first fight as Povetkin has been very ill by all accounts.
But Povetkin always has a chance.

That is Whyte, who is lucky because of Povetkin's corona. Povetkin had a tough course of the disease. Without it, he'd repeat for sure. But now it's probably Whyte..

You're right KW, nothing remotely lucky about that. Povetkin is just an old master reminding us of his quality. Covid has likely aged Sasha more than the intervening months so it's a bigger ask this time around.
I don't think Dillian underestimated him but the fight was going really well for him and he may have started to relax and take his eye off the ball. I can't see him making that mistake again although I wouldn't entirely rule out lightning striking twice.
Last time I said I wouldn't be surprised if Povetkin wins by knockout but if it goes pasr five rounds Whyte will win. That's pretty much how I see the re-match, but this time I will be quite surprised if Sasha does it again.

What's a sperm head? Does that mean he has a fertile mind, no wonder you don't like him?
I don't understand you boxtune. For ages you worshipped Kubrat Pulev. Now credit to him for showing courage against Joshua but this is a man who (ignoring the two title challenges where he got ktfo) has spent what, ten years ranked in most people's top ten but has never tested himself against a genuine (I don't mean rated by the WBA and nobody else) fellow top ten contender. He's made a whole career out of fighting people who are 11 - 20 in the world at best, just enough to keep his name out there and maintain his ranking.
Then you've got two of the fightingest heavyweights in recent years in Povetkin and Whyte who don't know the meaning of caution and will fight anyone on Earth if the money's right. You clearly dislike both of them intently. Er, you do like boxing don't you ???

If you can beat a man once you can beat him twice. I would pick Whyte in the rematch, but it's certainly not impossible for Povetkin to pull it off again.

Pulev at 40 might well be better than Whyte will be at 40. Apart from being destroyed by Wlad and AJ, he hasn't been in any tough fights of the kind that shorten careers, which is why I don't respect him anywhere near as much as Whyte or Povetkin.
Fighters who take on the toughest challenges are the lifeblood of the sport and deserve the respect and affection of all who love boxing. I wish PEDs didn't exist but you can't turn back the clock. I don't know who is taking them or it's more accurate to say I don't know who is NOT taking them, so I don't worry about it. Unless like Miller you get caught with a substance or three that can only be administered by a needle in the arse then I don't make value judgements, what's the point?
I just don't get how you can hate fighters who fight and admire those who would prefer not to.

That's all CRAP TALK. Pulev was already mandatory challenger for Title. When was the last time that Whyte was Mandatory challenger and took a tough fight
Also Don"t forget that Whyte bitched out of fight with Pulev to become mandatory, and whyte put excuse of small purse.
Purse bid was won by Pulev team, he had to take the fight if win grant him title shot. Whyte is pissy shit fighter

Well it must be crap talk if you put it in CAPITAL LETTERS. Do you not understand that whether or not you are made mandatory depends on the whim of the governing body, not on your accomplishments. The only reason why Whyte wasn't WBC mandatory much earlier was that Haymon and his pet poodle, Sulaiman ,were trying to keep him away from their boy.
Who has Pulev beaten to deserve his mandatory? Let's compare their wins (they have both lost twice to elite fighters). We shall start with their best win and work down :
Whyte---------------------Pulev
Joseph Parker-------------Dereck Chisora
Dereck Chisora -----------Tony Thompson *
Oscar Rivas ---------------Hughie Fury
Robert Helenius------------ Alexander Ustinov *
Lucas Browne ------------- Samuel Peter ( both way post prime )
Mariusz Wach ------------- Alexander Dimitrenko *
Dave Allen ---------------- Kevin Johnson
To keep this balanced I have had to include (marked *) Pulev fights from the year 2012 ! If we kept it to the last few years then it gets a bit embarrassing.
You say Whyte bitched out of fighting Pulev for the mandatory. Try to think it through: Firstly why would Whyte want to fly to Sofia, to get paid peanuts, in order to get the right to fight Joshua for 25% of the purse? He and AJ are both Matchroom fighters. They both want to fight each other again at a time when it makes sense for both of them, and you can bet Whyte will do a lot better than 25%. He chose instead to face Joe Parker who is better than Pulev for way more money, to cement his status as a Sky PPV star. I believe that's what is known as a 'no brainer' much like your good self.
Whyte wasn't interested in the IBF mandatory. He had already chosen the WBC route and should have already been their mandatory had they not broken their own rules to make damn sure he wasn't. Why did Dillian choose the WBC route?
Because just like Tyson Fury did, he saw a very beatable fighter in Deontay Wilder, and if he took his title he could demand 50/50 in an all UK megafight. The only problem was Haymon/Finkel never wanted any part of Dillian Whyte but they looked at fat, depressed, drug addled, two and a half years out the ring, Tyson Fury and cherry-picked him as Deontay's next victim, (hmmm ... that worked out well) and queue-jumped Whyte to accommodate him.
I'm not expecting you to read all this much less understand it. No doubt I'll get a one line 'Pulev good/ Whyte bad' kind of response. Well I tried.

Yes, he can. There was not anything lucky in his last win against Whyte, who can hold and do his own but he is not the quickest and slickest HW around.

Of course he can, duh. Plus, this time, Whyte is coming off of a KO loss, which makes it even easier for Povetkin. Also, Povetkin didn't get lucky.

If Povetkin has not 100% recovered from the coof then no way should he be entering the ring in Gibraltar against Dillian Whyte on March 27th. What kind of training/prep would that be?
This could go the distance, and stamina might be the decisive factor. The state of Povetkin's current health and conditioning is unclear but the reschedule from the 6th March is obviously a good thing for him.
Whatever happens, and it could go either way, we don't need any unnecessary complications - or excuses.
We want the best man to win - quite a lot is riding on this. The winner against Wilder would be something to look forward to.

Whyte destroy him if he meet him again.
