Canelo fought very good fighters like Trout, FMJ, Lara, Cotto, Golovkin and Jacobs which shows that he was willing to face the very best but he also used his experience learned from FMJ , like the right time to have a certain fight, the right type of opponent and the art of having all the advantages on his side.

There is no doubt that Canelo is a very disciplined and a very serious fighter who has a great team and that helped him a lot to grow and be more polished as a fighter. Now I think he's pretty much unbeatable and tbf this current version of Canelo would beat any prime-version of Golovkin at 160-168 lbs.

Canelo's style of fighting is complet and very watchable. He's a great conter-puncher, he has a great waist and head defense, he throws fast powerful-nice combos to the body and to the head, his jab is pretty good and effective, he's very good to set traps and make you think and then he surprises you with some hard-powerful punches.

My wishes from Canelo as a fighter is to knock out BJS and fight Benavidez.

He's going to decision BJS and he's never going to fight Benavidez. The opportunity for that fight has long gone.

Mayweather only fought Canelo because he was looking to cash in on Mexican Independence Day and the inexperienced yet popular Canelo happened to be in the right place at the right time.

No way is Canelo fighting the young strong 24 year old Benavidez - he'd probably get knocked out and that would give the judges a real problem.

I dont get that Benavidez hype. Alvarez will put savage beating on that guy if they eventually fight. Saunders can be bigger problem with his feet movement.

Yes I don’t get the Benavidez comment either. Canelo would eat him up.

Well it's true that it makes a massive difference getting to pick and choose, but his incredible resume wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for cherry-picking.

If he'd have fought the Kov of Ward 1 when he was a LMW he wouldn't be winning by KO for just one example.

Well, yes. Unfortunately Benavidez screwed his chances to have a fight with Canelo by losing his wbc title on the scale so foolishly. Probably Canelo would vacte his smw titles after he'll unify them.

Well he's a young-strong fighter with good boxing skills. The problem with Benavidez is his weight. He should be more dedicated and try to stay more active. I'd like to see him fighting guys like Plant, Charlo, Ryder and Lemieux.
