Either Tito or the Magic Man would either take a decision or a draw in a classic fight.

I am a big fan of Marlon Starling. He was the gatekeeper of the welterweight division in the 1980s. He was a great defensive fighter and just short of an all time great. I believe Tito Trinidad is just a little better. He hits hard is bigger and stronger. I think Tito wins by decision. Good action fight though.

Tito wins a rather close decision after taking a big lead, then Moochie gives him a some anxious moments down the stretch as the fight becomes closer. Starling had a style to drive punchers crazy.

For the most part, Starling would outbox Trinidad, who was often looked bad against skilled boxers. Trinidad would get the decision though.

You could make a case for Starling, he certainly mixed it up in good company.
The Honeyghan win was big for him, I didn't think he'd win that one.
Tito has a win against a past prime Whitaker, I didn't think he beat De La Hoya and Hopkins took him out at Middleweight.
Starling could slack off at times in fights, Tito was highly energetic throughout, Starling would have to be at his absolute best to do it and he has it in him.
Have to go with Tito by decision though, close call.

Trinidad in a 7-5 fight.

That is probably how the judges would have scored it.

If Marlon is on point, an 9-3, 8-4 decision. He had the ability to embarrass guys at times. If not, Tito wins by 7-5.
