The one fight that Ali never had against highly regarded Eddie Machen. What would have been the outcome?

Machen was shot by 66 and 67. In 63, he would beat Clay.

In 1966 or 1967, Machen would be shot and Ali would batter Machen like Ali did with other faded once great contenders in Cleveland Williams and Zora Folley as Ali would TKO Machen in 5. In 1963, Machen may give Ali a hard fight, but Ali would prevail by out-boxing him from long range behind his quick jabs and combinations to take a decision.

The fight was have been a total mismatch by 1966. Probably would not have reached the mid-rounds. In 1963, it would have more competitive, perhaps going going the distance, but Ali still would have won.
