I really don't know what to say. Clicking on this link I truly expected and hoped for some kind of bad taste troll but his wife has announced it and she's certainly one of the only person we can trust with those kind of informations.

I also really hope his death wasn't caused by the vaccine, does someone know if he had any health issue lately, I've never heard of anything myself

Arguably the best middleweight champion of all time. I've watched his 3 rounds wars with Hearns and scored his fight against SRL countless time and I just don't know what to say. It sucks. I guess we'll have to wait for more infos to come.

To be a fan of boxing, is to love Marvin Hagler, he embodied everything that was good about the sport. This is an incredibly sad day.

His reign was one of the most impressive in the history of middles

He fought wars with everyone around, avoided no one and retired the moment

It's worth noting that on the night almost all of Marvin's challengers would have won the title if it had have been against anyone else

What a list of ferocious opps he tore through...
Sibbo, Vito, Hamsho, Roldan, Mugabe, Duran ,Hearns...

Wow

We never saw the like again

To even multiply those who he defended against, one only needs to look at who he went through in order to get there. The likes of Monroe, Watts, Hart, Briscoe, Seales and finally Minter is just jaw-dropping. A man who ducked no one.

The Brothers Behind The Scene

It must be said that Marvin Hagler may not have reached the heights he deserved if it hadn't been for the two brothers who managed, and trained him,Pat and Goody Petronelli. When Hagler walked into their gym in Brockton,Mass the brothers took the quiet kid under their wing. They were more than bookkeepers and showing the kid the nuts and bolts of how to box. They were surrogate big brothers. In fact while Hagler was trying to make ends meet fighting, the Petronelli's put him to work in their construction company.

The brothers worked hard to get Marvin the key fights that would eventually get him to the championship. Then there were the monumental fights with Hearns,Duran, and Leonard. They never skimmed off the top of one of is purses.Hagler became such a part of what they describe themselves as "The Triangle" coming over for dinner eating homecooked Italian meals, when Marvin retired he moved to Italy, learned the language, and married an Italian girl.

James "the Heat" Kinchen said to me once that two of the best teams for a fighter to hook up with with were the Duvas and the Petronellis.

A great shot of Hagler with his "goombas" Now I'm crying

I've also read that once Hagler won the title the parasites tried to get Hagler to dump the Petronelllis. He bascally told them to F off

Terrible news and I have just been reading McGuigan's book where he sets out what a total class act Hagler was.

It always hits you when a big star from your childhood passes away. Somehow it feels different. Makes you look back at how things used to be. One of the true legends. R.I.P.
