His wife posted on Facebook that he suddenly passed.
I'm not sure if it is an authenticated account.
But it is stated on his fan club site

I hope not, almost always cheered against him but even as a kid I knew I was watching greatness.

Wikipedia has put a death date down, I've seen the wife's post, nothing from news outlets yet

One of my earliest boxing memories is the build up to Hagler v Hearns. My dad picked Hearns, I went with Hagler (because i'd heard of him but not Hearns at that time).

I'm not sure where the link with the vaccine came from, but if there's any truth in it, then this is just unbearable.

This is what was has been reported as his wife's FB post.


"I am sorry to make a very sad announcement. Today unfortunately my beloved husband Marvelous Marvin passed away unexpectedly at his home here in New Hampshire.

Our family requests that you respect our privacy during this difficult time.

With love, Kay G. Hagler.”

One of the all time greats who fought the best, ducked nobody. Terribly said news. RIP Champion.

About 16 years ago, I emailed Marvelous Marvin Hagler for an autograph.

In an answering email, he told me that at the time he could not sign any autographs for me.

Days later, on December 24th of that year, I got a big package with a few items and a huge photo signed by him to me, and a letter explaining he was not able to sign for me at the time he answered because he was on an Alitalia plane flying back to New York!

This breaks my heart...RIP Marvelous!

I'm very sad to hear this, especially given he was only 66. Haglers one of my favourite boxers and one of the most complete and aggressive fighters (in the ring) I have ever seen. RIP Champ.

There is no word Marvin Hagler died from the covid vaccine.
It was likely a sudden heart attack. That happens.

doesn't want what he said used for an anti-vaccination
campaign.

If you die of a gsw with covid its counted as a covid death. If you die of a heart attack after a vaccine do they count it as a vaccine death?

Either way truly tragic and an absolute ATG maybe the best mw of all time.

Doubt anyone can say with certainty what it was right now.
I'd swerve off that it will just start all kinds of rumors swirling.
