Jaron Boots Ennis v Lipinets

Just watched the replay of the fight from last night.
Looking at the showtime build up, I thought the rockhard, very confident Russian might show the undefeated prospect what the fight game was all about, like we’ve seen a few times in the UK the last couple of weeks, but my God Boots Ennis can really fight: this guy is the real deal, a threat to anyone at 147 for sure.
With huge height and reach advantages, great combos and blinding speed, he showed power and toughness as well, as he took a few flush chin checking shots without flinching - then just took the Russian apart and flattened him. No one else has managed that.

classy as well, as didn’t celebrate and was checking the Russian was okay before anything else ...what a prospect

Impressive performance from Ennis, a lot to like about him. Looks to have real pop and he puts shots together nicely when he has a fighter in trouble, great speed too. May be tricky to match him in the next couple of fights after that, be interesting to see who he takes on.

Just seen the highlights. I really like how Ennis was finding the angles for the uppercuts, and body shots, and left cross/hook, but we really have to see him against someone whose power he would be forced to respect, he seemed to have zero respect for Lip. Ennis was much more Seek And Destroy than I had heard or briefly seen of him before.

The Ancajas V Rodriguez fight on the undercard was a cracker, hard as nails the pair of them.

boots is at worst the 3rd best ww in the world right now, though not as experienced i would take him over porter, ugas, etc

battering a durable, battle tested guy like lipinets - who'd given a fight to everyone he'd faced-- is the type of win that company jonny wants us to think benn beating vargas was

Amazing talent. He could beat them all. I see people saying he got hit too much? I thought he rolled most of the shots and came back with counters. Got hit with a few good shots and took those well. I was super impressed.

Ennis is a world champion waiting to happen, or a serious challenger to Crawford or Spence.
