That card was all fornicating moments. Crutes leg going was a shame, but watching him try to continue and was interesting, weildmans leg napping like uncooked spaggeti was sickening, but undoubtably interesting. shev dominating, rose head kick, usman right hand missel down the pipe.
havent seen a boxing card provide that many entertaining/shocking moments in a long time. I like boxing more than MMA, but hard to compeate with the entertainment value of a good ufc PPV.

The card was FANTASTIC!
What a crazy circumstance for Weidman. A leg break like that has happened only 3 times in the UFC. The first one I was in attendance for in Fayetteville, NC where Corey Hill was the first to break his leg in that fashion. Then A Silva snapped his leg on a Weidman check. Now Weidman snaps his leg in the exact same manner on a Hall check. What's even crazier is Weidman was Silva's first UFC loss, and Hall was Silva's last UFC loss. Pretty amazing coincidences!
Historic night. It was the first live indoor audience sporting event since the covid lockdowns. And they set a record gate attendance for that arena. None of the main card fights went past 2 rounds. AND, Jorge got KOed by Usman.... I didn't see that coming a country mile.

I think that’s the best right hand KO I’ve seen in MMA. What a shot and he set it up perfectly. Rose kick was of similar class.

That was my top but I kind of hoped/expected Hendo to get Bisping. I didn’t expect that from Usman I was shocked. What an absolute bomb.
I’ve seen the Hendo KO so many times that the follow up sickens me a bit. I watched that UF season and wanted Dan to win but after what Bispings been through I hate seeing it now.
I was saying to my mate I felt herb was a bit slow on the stoppage at the weekend and he only half agreed.

Bisping really used to grate on me for some reason but I've warmed to him. He is a decent commentator and his run of form after the eye injury is remarkable, given he was practically blind in one eye.
I really dislike hammer fists or follow ups where it's clear the other fighter is never going to be getting up an time soon, with the exception of those cheeky hammer fists from Holm against Rousey, I will never, ever tire of seeing that KO.
Lol, who is that Japanese guy who is notorious for slow/bad stoppages, he's appalling! So slow. Yamasaki.
I don't like Masvidal, something about him really annoys me.

I've seen a few fighters, who show mercy, sometimes cus they're fighting a good friend..
Or you have Sean O'Malley..
The thing is, from the time the fighter is KO'd, the time is the difference between the fighter going for the hammer fists and the ref running over.

The kiwi dude, mark hunt. He just walked off.
Let’s be honest when you hit someone you know when they’re hurt and you definitely know when they’re out cold. It shouldn’t be a thing because it isn’t in any other combat sport. You don’t see boxers rushing to hit someone when they’re on the canvas and it doesn’t happen in Muay Thai or stuff like K1.

Difference between the sports is that MMA is also fighting on the floor.. the others are stnad-only aren't they?

I guess but if you’re striking and the other person is literally sleeping there’s no need to keep punching them. It’s actually more effort to superman dive them and carry on hitting when On the floor than it is to do nothing. We are not talking a cheeky hook from Marciano walking away, we are talking jumping on someone who is as stiff as a board and hammer fisting their unconscious jaw.

I agree on Jorge. He comes to fight at least and has some skills, beating Till made me take to him a bit more but since that BMF shite he’s been annoying. I find Usman to mean well, he seems a decent guy but his heads messed up with the prejudice stuff. Not as bad as Tyron Woodley but still he gets tedious. I’m sure it all means a lot to him.
I’d say he’s No1 fighter in the sport just now. He has quite a repertoire.
I have big Francis as my favourite champion just now because of his struggle and start from absolute zero. I watched his KO of Rosenstreik in supper slow motion and he’s so raw, his punches look like they should have no power. Just an insanely raw guy who has improved dramatically.
Holm v Rousey is another of my absolute favourites along with Rose Koing Joanna.
