While Harrisson's performance against Polo showed that he's probably in the second tier of world class, Gomez isn't even that. Gomez would be the naturally bigger man, I suppose, but Scott's a bloddy big featherweight, and Gomez has shown he can be hit and hurt by less than world-class talents.

Gomez is starting to become a real pain in the arse these days. Ive always liked the guy and think the way hes rebuilt his career after being written off has been tremendous.

His fight against Arthur was, for me, the best fight Ive ever seen, possibly with the exception of Hagler and Hearns. Gomez fought an intelligent fight that night and taught Arthur a boxing lesson he'll never forget. Hes done incredibly well getting his life back onto the rails.

But all this mouthing off is now getting to a bit of a joke. short of beating Arthur in a fight where Arthur will never fight as badly again or Gomez as well, he suddenly thinks he's a mini RJJ.

First he prices himself out of a rematch with Arthur despite his promises to retire him etc and now after a piss poor result for Harrison, hes wanting Scott to step up to face him, something he knows will not happen. Given the 'alleged' part in Harrisons new contract about a superfight this year, Gomez knows he can sit happy spouting shite for a good while yet.

So Id say to Gomez to go out their and prove hes the best, if hes confidence in his own ability then drop the price to something a bit more realistic for the Arthur fight (even Alex is agreeing Gomez should be paid more than he got for the Edinburgh bout), beat Arthur "retire him", stop pricing yourself out of fights, stop mouthing off about fights you know will never happen and go out and prove yourself to be the fighter that many think you can be.

Then come back, name your price and go after fights we want to see that we know will happen.

I think Gomez knows he had his shot at beating Arthur, which he took magnificenly well, and he knows given a reamtch Arthur would probably beat him, given, in my opinion, his recent improvements.

So stop the mouthing Mickey and go out and prove yourself as good as you think you are.

This I agree with, I think it would be an excellent contest - favour Harrison but not by alot. I think it would come down to who is the stronger chinned and physically stronger, and I'm not entirely sure who that is.

I think skill wise they are similar. The main reason why Harrison has done so well at Feather is because of his size, with that dimishing as he moves up I can see him struggling against lower level opposition.

However, I do wish Gomez would focus on a shot at one of the 4 main champions, he is in a good position for the rankings - he can always fall down to Arthur and maybe Harrison.

It's a match I'd love to see. Two guys who get very fired up for their contests. Like the others say, while it lasts it would be very exciting.

For my money ( ) Gomez beats Harrison.

It's obvious that harrison can't take body punches at all. The Gomez that beat Arthur is BIGGER than Harrison... something he has never had to face. It's all so easy for Harrison beating up smaller fighters but Gomez is an intense fiery BIG super feather and Harrison would be fighting something he has never fought before.

The robotic one dimensional slugger (with no head movement at all) would get drummed to the hilt by Gomez.

Bit of a non starter though, why would Harrison bother taking on Gomez with no real title on the line?

Think Harrison would beat him if they ever did meet, but it's the Arthur rematch I'd like to see.

They're wasting Gomez, with these no name matches like the one coming up.

With Gomez there is always the chance he could lose this fight coming up, i expect him to win, but with his style it could go all wrong.
I think Harrison would be my pick, but not confidently, as has already been stated Harrison doesn't like body shots, but that may be due to making feather,

I think Harrison should move up he's too slow and cumbersome as a feather would not surprise me if he he struggles to make weight. Gomez? good fight but he won't take it as that is not really that much fo him to gain. It could happen if he wins abelt at super feather and outside Barrera the champs are not that great. I would try to get him in with the winner of Peden/Campbell 2. Both very beatable.
