I had an idea that could echo the 'real world' and could also take some workload away from Buzz and Crease plus create a bit of 'gaming' by the managers etc.

As Gil has announced himself as president of the IBO, I though shit wouldn't it be interesting if a manager become the president of each one of the sactioning bodies and had to approve title fights, come up with their own rankings that could be taken off the ranking generated by Buzz and Crease. Obviously it will involve a little bit more work from said manager but we could have it mimic the real world and allow sanctioning bodies and the promoters that pay the bills for them to either be totally impartial and fair or play favourites?

Could be a interesting idea if anyone is interested.

To be clear I didn't just "announce it" and make it so. I was asked to do it, and I accepted.

If enough people get excited about this idea I'm very open minded.....

However...as Crease and Gil can attest, it can be annoyingly time consuming for such light fare. I'm semi retired...so lately it's been a labor of love....but I do recall a few years ago it competed for my time in less than happy ways. But I love the history and how it forces me to go to the books for guys like Ben Jordan etc.


AND...inevitably like any bureaucracy the more folks involved the slower it goes with additional court appeals, and petty litigation etc.

I think The small oversight operational approach accounts for the brisk pace of this season....it's me and Crease, and we have been quite agreeable after the 6 figure bribe I offered, and let's not forget Gilg who is obviously raiding the IBO treasury and only shows up for the bonuses and the holiday parties..and I do believe geto has been doing some volunteer work as well.

So perhaps....the mom and pop shop approach has it's advantages.
