P4P Promotions Submission

With the Gil unfortunately calling it quits, P4P Promotions hereby officially lobby the commissioners for an allowance to cut the underperforming Johnny Kilbane and sign Willie Pep to an immidiate contract. We believe Pep, one of the greatest in history can have some of his so-so performances turned around under our scrupulous management. Former long time foes Pep and Saddler have both said they welcome the opportunity to work with and better one another under the same banner.

So commish we await your decision.

It's a good idea. Pep is a fighter, who gotta be managed.

I say give Gil some time to simmer down first.

I agree with this 100% but just want it noted that P4P Promotions should get first dibs if Gil doesn't come back. Hopefully that's not the case though.

I find this very distasteful. I vehemently oppose this.

Having Pep out of the reach of managers is not a bad thing....he is the highest rated fighter....and anyone with patience would probably have guided him to the ultimate championship. So things may be a little less predictable.....not that anything really is predictable in simulations.

Honestly surprises are always a part of boxing.......so though it' s crazy, you have to admit martial arts are often a trip to the twilight zone for more than just the fighters who get ko'd. Did anyone see Ruiz over Joshua coming?

The streaks of luck....are simply streaks......nothing less nothing more. One of the reasons I am reluctant to manage at the same time i run the fights....because I feel guilty with every win the software hands my fighters.

IF Pep is to be managed by another....it would have to be lottery style I think. I'm open minded, but also want to leave the door open to gilgamesh for a bit.

How about a tourney, like we did for Greb back in the day?

There will of course be an extra ration of rum for Kevo for his vigilance and pot stirring.

I mean any manager that can ask their fighters to compete to a draw when a title is on the line is a clear cut above.

I'm not a huge fan of the the idea that someone just runs in and swaps their 17th pick for (probably) the best fighter in the game without any process just 'cos they called "dibs" before the dust had even settled.

On the other hand, if I put McGovern in a tournament and he beats (for example) Marquez, Ramos and Kilbane back to back to back to win the lot, I'd almost rather keep him than swap him at that point.
