From Boxing Central.
Setanta PPV have confirmed they will broadcast the Bernard Hopkins vs. Howard Eastman WBC middleweight title fight live from the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Great it's being shown in the UK
Lets hope they do a good job of broadcasting it though.

What sort of price do you have to pay. Does it reuqire an initial added package (like Sky, then Sky sports add on, then PPV) or is it a case of have channel already (as I do) just pay for PPV?
Thanks!

I have Sky and in the past with Setanta its exactly the same process as buying a Sky Box Office PPV. I just use my on-screen menu etc and it shows up on next months SKY bill.
I don't subscribe to any Setanta channles, by the way.
I
guess it will be about £15.

Thanks KOJOE. Think I will wait for the "excellent" BBC coverage the next day.

I have emailed them for information on it. Did anybody see it in writing? Nothing about it on their site.

£14.95, from midnight a live broadcast of the HBO feed, plus three "top supporting contests".
That's about 4 hours till the Hop fight.
I guess that HAS to include the Witter bout, plus Taylor. Maybe Froch if they throw him in with someone decent? Think he's still waiting to hear if he's on or not.
Think it was Bob Sheridan doing the international commentary last time Setanta showed boxing.

Yeah it was, the Colonel seems to pop up everywhere, was watching a Main Events from Australia last year and all of a sudden the Colonel is in town and says a few words and ends up commentating on the whole of Shannon Taylor-Paulo Sanchez

Sounds like a good hefty dose of Boxing though all in all on Setanta

Witter and Carl Froch will also appear on the undercard

The Colonel has his critics, but somehow I have this feeling that we will be relieved that it his him and not Ed Hall / Sarah Cawood presenting the show.

Don King doesn't promote any of the parties involved, and Bob Sheridan commentates for DKTV so I doubt it will be him.

So is there any reason not to give us the full HBO coverage?

Might be they have to pay extra for the HBO commentary - Larry and co probably have some sort of deal in place. Hope it is, because Merchant is, at times, just brilliant.
