I remember mentioning a few weeks back that in the Tennyson v Straffon fight when the ref was giving the final instructions, Straffon looked like a seriously bad mofo.

Also the Benn v McClellan staredown before the fight looked genuinely scary. McClellan was definitely staring a guy down who didn't care.


What are your favourite stare downs whether it be at the weigh in, press conference or pre fight instructions?

Ron Lyle against George Foreman is a good one. Jim Watt made Howard Davis turn away in their staredown just after the weigh-in to their 1979 fight at Hampden Park. Davis had repeatedly labelled that champion "Jim Who?"

Davis was a bit overawed by how big boxing was over here and the support for Watt.
