Oubaali Vs Donaire was ordered in late 2019, so that was Oubaali out of the running, and the Casimero fight was signed until Covid. Sadly both of those are out of Arum's hands. The Moloney fight and Dasmarinas fights aren't great, but they aren't terrible. It's the inactivity that's the biggest issue for me, though it may turn out to be a blessing in disguise given the damage he had to the eye, and the rest time he's had as a result (as well as all the various endorsement deals he's been getting recently in Japan - money in the pocket and no damage to his body, and the birth of his third kid).

Would still love to see him face Casimero or Donaire in November or December this year in Japan, and I think THEY both want to fight him.

Yep, PBC has outmaneuvered Arum at 118 and left Inoue - who should be one the biggest attractions in boxing - with very few options in America.

He could fight Mike Plania. Won’t be much of a fight, but it’s a top ten opponent. Arum can do well having him demolish his WBA mandos and hyping up the fights as Tyson-esque dominance.

The odds of a Donaire rematch, which we all want to see, are very low indeed.

Bob Arum is the problem.

It annoys me to see people being sympathetic towards Arums fighters, whilst assigning the blame squarely on the PBC’s shoulders.

Apparently the fighters that sign the contracts with Top Rank and Bob Arum are completely blameless!

Not meaning to absolve Arum of any blame. I don’t blame fighters who sign with him because Top Rank is a boxing promotion organization of the highest level. It’s just a frustrating landscape in general that we can’t have more fights cross over. Maybe Inoue-Donaire can happen. After all, we did get Fury-Wilder twice now while Fury is with TR.
