I suppose they do if it's a title fight, but then again I should imagine they could still challenge for a heavyweight belt even if they were under the Cruiserweight limit
I'm not sure if Nicolai valuev had an official weight recorded for his fight with Neil Kirkwood (if I remember correctly). I believe he broke the scales or something like that.

but like, do commissions require them to do it so they can track that data for whatever reason?
even at the lowest level shows with hardly any promotion, with hws obviously way above the limit, they still are weighing in
