Heaviest combined weight?

Eddie Hall is promoting his fight Vs Thor as the 'heaviest fight in history'.

I'm just trying to find out what the heaviest combined weight in any fight actually has been. So far Dustin Nichols (400lbs) Vs Antonio Johnson (380lbs) for a combined weight of 780lbs is the highest I've come across.

Can anyone think of another?

Valuev vs McCline is what I can recall - that’s gotta be 600lbs plus?

Surely a Butterbean fight must be up there? Loads of fights over 650 lbs

His last fight was 677lbs

A few heavy ones I could find:
Butterbean/Siciliano - 731 lbs
Welliver/Brown - 705.5

I'm seeing reports of the Hall/Thor's weights of anywhere up to 786 but some more recent reports (since they've been training for this fight) have them a lot lower. I wouldn't be surprised if come weigh in they're combined weight is lower than Nichols/Johnson.

Siciliano Butterbean is insane weight. This def the winner. With the ref there could be a ton of human in the ring

I think at the time Lennox Lewis v Michael Grant was the heaviest combined weight for a world title fight.

You're right Coco, Watts and Cranston were gigantic fellas !
Watts boxed for the Lynn and Cranston boxed for Fisher as amateurs. I remember Harry Senior bombing Cranston out of the ABA's in the SE divs many moons ago :box:

That's right. Grant was seen as a serious threat to Lewis' reign. Of course Lennox blasted him out within 2 rounds.

Disgraceful name drop, but I bumped into Emmanuel Steward in our hotel prior to the fight and although he was confident of victory he still added "but, you never know". Have to say Steward was really friendly and happy to spare time talking boxing :salut:

I’d imagine it would be between takin Galahad and Josh Warrington.

Both are from Yorkshire so both would walk heavy.

Bracamonte last fought in February and has weighed in 100 lbs heavier. He must have just been eating non-stop since then. Surely must be a typo on boxrec...

I think Gabe Brown once put on or lost either 50 or 100lvs between two fights. Turned out it was because at one of the weigh ins there was an upper limit on the scales.

:oo Maxey could've come in 30 lbs heavier based on his other fights aswell. That is insane.
