With all the changes, what do you guys think, in summery.

Yes, loads more promoters entering the new TV platforms, but, it will cost me.

Bad due to the price, we’ll have to pay about 5 different subscriptions if we want to (legitimately) watch it all. Wish we could just have a single boxing network which showed everything, I’d pay about £30 a month for that.

Need to know the "cost" of DAZN before commenting tbh .

Common sense says that competition is good in any field. But boxing coverage was better when Sky had a virtual monopoly because they didn’t feel the need to spend the whole show cheerleading house fighters and advertising upcoming fights.

I don't see any potential difference myself. I didn't subscribe to Sky so YouTube's or streamed those shows I wanted to see.
Hearn going to DAZN is still very much an unknown in so much as quality of shows and price .. I could concerned he will give us mainly early 2000 Eurosport type shows .. ie random fights between guys not known to anyone outside of their close family.

I saw Adam Smith's interview with IFL - I wasn't convinced really.

Not paying that much for that ultimate boxxer stuff - learn to spell the name of the sport correctly!

If sky could cherry pick (and I wasn't convinced it will happen) the best "non DAZN / Matchroom" action from around the world (not just stateside) then that would be great. Top Rank are on the decline, so it would be nice to see Sky show PBC, Golden Boy and the like also - but off course there will be PBC / Top Rank clashes, as there are Hearn / Warren TV clashes.

Then perhaps wait for after Tokyo and see if there is some potential threat to the matchroom / warren stable in the UK in the signing of top UK amateurs and then "see their journey" on similar "exclusive" deals as they have done with Joshua - then that would be appealing.

As it stands though lets be honest, beyond Warren and Hearn there is no real promoter with a big enough stable that you would pay to see fight - Egginton vs Molina was fine for free TV and that do not mean any disrespect - but if Sky were only showing cards like that once a month - then I would not continue my subscription. I wasn't convinced by Adam Smiths "more content than ever" - yes it will be a pile of library footage, nice but worth the Sky Sub?

BT / Warren need to seriously promote their shows - I have BT sport and I like their coverage, but I often forget they are on!

I hope Sky stay in the game, but

Listening to the Boxing News podcast when it was announced, and despite the claims that the price point will remain for now, common sense suggests it can't stay that low forever.

Guess they are hoping the really grow the numbers at a very low price point but it will inevitably rise and they will hope a percentage of those will continue.

Hard to gauge what would still be a good monthly fee. £10 seems reasonable, £15 maybe?

It really depends on the content as to what I'd pay tbh and everyone must feel the same way .
15 squid a month for cards that are not "stacked" ( Their words not mine ) won't get me subscribing .

Amazon prime and Netflix are about a tenner each.
