Cant belive jake Paul’s team didn’t think of charves jr first. Perfect look good opponent, world champ, prime age, just about 6 kgs of cocain past his best..

Oh my, what a waste Chavez Jr is. He has already become a definition of shame.

I used to joke around the same way with boxing > mma back when a 48 year old Ray Mercer knocked out former undisputed UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia who was 33 years old at the time. Ray Mercer was making his pro debut while Sylvia was ranked by rankingmma and bloody elbow as the number 7 heavyweight in the world. Not bad for mma tho, I don't see alot of boxers in their first 10 fights fight a former world champion with over 50 fights. Especially in their third pro fight.

If these cross discipline fights keep happening sooner or later the MMA fighter was going to win one.
It's not surprising that JCCjr was the losing boxer.

Boxers have switched to MMA and had success. One boxer even went on to be a UFC champ.

Someday there will be a fighter that leaves MMA and has success in boxing.

It's kinda remarkable that boxing didn't use this fellow up more before he threw himself on an mma junkfight and lost. Perfect opponent to put yourself into the Canelo sweepstakes with but now a win vs Chavez jr well I guess it could serve a few debuting fighters looking to establish records for themselves.

Holly Holm. The only athlete to have true success in both sports.

Had no idea that my words were so hard to decypher.

So I think that its remarkable that Chavez jr wasnt offered financially lucrative fights vs other boxers before he signed up for peanuts to fight a former mma fighter in a losing effort thereby dramatically lowering his market value. I think that Chavez jr was probably a very good name to beat to put yourself into the Canelo sweepstakes before this fight took place but that the value of a victory vs him won't serve that purpose anymore.
