Ruddock of the Dokes fight would knocked Golota down with a smashing left uppercut or left hook and make Golota quit after 6 rounds of action.

Golota would find a way to lose. He always did against any one good. The only question would be how he lost.

Come. you have to look at the stage of the fighter's career. Witherspoon was 40 by then. Norris was 35 and was never that good. Byrd was past it and he still could only get a draw.
When you looked up Sanders in the database, you looked by up the wrong Sanders. The guy that Golota beat was a journeyman.
Bowe 2x, Lewis, Grant. One way or another, he lost them all. Never made it to the final bell in any of them.

Witherspoon and Norris were shabby, but no way Byrd was. OK, well at least you admitted two of the four were past it. Guess that is progress. Byrd was was not shot but was slowing down.
Sanders? Please. The guy was at best a journeyman. Look at his career. Lost seven fights in a row after Maskaev. Lost to Marion Wilson earlier. Nobody thought Golota beating Sanders meant anything.

Sanders wasn't a top level fighter, but he was a tough one for sure. He could lose even twice more after Maskaev, you can't take that win from him. Sanders was not much more than a club fighter. He lost several times to guys that weren't very good at all. Golota winning a decision over him means nothing. Nobody thought this fight meant a thing. It is ridiculous for you to try to hype this as some sort of of big win for Golota.
Byrd was a 33 year old who relied on his speed, which was declining. He was unimpressive in his previous fight against Oquendo and never looked impressive after the Golota fight.

Byrd was not in his prime when he fought Golota. Was not totally shot, but not at his best either. He was not as as fast or as elusive as he once was. This is an interesting fight. Golota is the better fighter, Ruddock is a pretty devastating puncher, and would be perfectly capable of knocking Golota out if he catches him. I think Golota either knocks out Ruddock by the 7th round or he fouls out which was his M.O.
He never liked it or responded well when the going got tough, and he couldn't get his man outta there, and Ruddock would've been giving him trouble throughout the contest even if Golota was winning.

It probably would have been entertaining to watch. Golota probably would have his moments. However, ultimately, even if Ruddock didn't knock him out, Golota would probably do something stupid to get disqualified or quit.

i had golota beating byrd and ruiz tbh. he didnt self destruct and idont think he found a way to lose those , it was that he was unlucky with the judges
but notably they were both not particularly big offensive threats, and i think it's vs guys that do damage that golota folds up most
i would lean ruddock by stoppage, but he's not quite at the point where i'd think that golota surely would self destruct, and was vulnerable himself.

The Golota from the vs Bowe days would likely win a close but clear cut UD. So longs he doesn't lose his cool and start biting or ball sack blasting.

Pretty much a 50-50 type of bout.
Whoever is better that particular day.
