Any truth in the rumour n'dou will step into Brancos shoes on the hops eastman undercard. If so i think its possibly the best fight witter could have hoped for.

I think it's just speculation at the moment.

There is nothing on any of the major Boxing web-sites as yet.

Lets hope this fight comes off if he can look impressive in this fight against a well known and respected oppoent then that should repair the damage don to his reputation in the states after the Judah fight.

Witter should be able to outbox Ndou fairly easily.

How good is Witter? Judah beat him easily and I understand it was a sub-par showing by Witter. Was he simply outclassed or did he choke a bit?

N'Dou's quite a good fighter so it may be a great fight :TU:

Outclassed...

Witter was inexperienced plus if i remember correctly took the fight at short notice?

10 days notice I think it was.

Witter did alright against Judah, short notice and made him look very ordinary.....

being a big guy, he must have really struggled to get the weight off at 10 days notice

It was a bad career move though it must be said.

With hindsightl, the fact he even went the distance with Judah in the light of his last two performances at welterweight is pretty impressive.

I have a funny feeling Witter might just stop N'dou.

I'd be amazed if Witter stops N'Dou. It's a superb 50-50 match if it happens. Worth a large portion of the PPV on its own, for us Brits anyway.

If this fight happens I am having a bet on Witter stopping Ndou.

If Witter only had 10 days notice then didn’t Zab only have 10 days also to prepare to face Witter?

I do not know the entire story, was it a cancellation how Witter got the chance?

But the facts I do know is that Zab turned pro only 4 months before Witter and whilst he had had 7 fights more than Junior when they fought it was Witter who had fought the more rounds altogether, and Witter is also 3 years older than Zab so probably would have been that much more mature physically.

Jason Rowland, then British champ, was ill so up stepped Witter.

I know it was five years ago, but that was an excellent coup by Warren to get Judah here. People often forget because of the late change of opponent but Judah knew he was coming to Britain to defend his title weeks in advance.

Yes he may have known weeks in advance but to train for one style and have to face a completely different style must have affected him also.
Witter had been active himself up to that time also, and I am sure he was in the gym training for an upcoming fight himself, its not like the position of Delaney who enjoys his Christmas then gets a call after to fight David Haye in a week or so`s time.

I just think its worth mentioning Zab Judah was also in an awkward position, yet still won very clearly.

I'm not too sure Judah would have "trained for Rowlands style". It was bordering on a mismatch as it was.

A little harsh on Rowland who was ranked higher than Witter in the UK rankings. It on paper was a better match than Witter, but I do see what you mean.

Either way he was expecting one style and got another.

surely knowing you are fighting and not knowing the opponent is more beneficial than not knowing you are fighting???

Yes me too, N'dou is pretty slow of foot, and pretty square on. Maybe I am overrating Witter, but I don't see N'dou getting near to him, and I can see him taking plenty of cracks as he tries to close the gap.

Witter may want to tuck that chin in though, as I seem to remember N'dou having a long reach.

My perception is that Witter won't look nearly as powerful against N'Dou, it's such a step up for him.

by jamesmcdonnell
I agree that I don't think he will be able to clout him out of there. N'dou though is a guy who gets a lot of props for lasting the course with world class fighters who don't bang him out, although he did well against Mitchell.

It will be interesting to see how Witter's power holds up, but he does have the ability to unleash a barrage of shots. I can see him stopping N'dou even though N'dou isn't badly hurt, with the ref intervening to stop him taking any more shots.

witter does land from very unusual positions and angles which i suppose will increase the chance of hurting N'dou...

N'dou will push him for every second of every round and if Witter lacks the stamina either through being tight at the weight or through lack of conditioning he will get found out late
