Good performance for Lomachenko, Nakatani one dimensional and was open to the big shots.

Lomachenko back to his near best, was nowhere near as lazy as last time, straight away he was landing that straight left right into the face of Nakatani, laser like precision all night, Nakatani couldnt avoid them, down from a right hook in the 5th, scrappy knockdown, similar to one a couple rounds earlier when Nakatani was down, Nakatani is brave, takes his lumps, tried to work the body and had a little success but really Lomachenko dominated him, pressured, moving, spinning off and nailing him with straight lefts and right hooks

Nakatani was taking everything well until that 9th when a Lomachenko left rocked him and Loma smelt blood, great finishing instincts, looked initally as if the ref was a bit quick but no complaints from Nakatani and he did look spent tbf

Loma went in there to do a better job than Teo. He did that, but Nakatani is very likeable, tough but very limited. If was an easy fight for Lomachenko.
If Loma starts like he did against Nakatani then he will give Lopez fits.
That rematch needs to happen; it’s a lovely 50/50 and it’s got split decision war written all over it.
I thought the ref was late in stopping it. Nakatani was completely done earlier in the round.
One of the judges give the Japanese fighter 2 rounds, btw.

Agree regarding the stoppage, could see Nakatani was completely spent having taken a lot of clean power punches. Classy stuff from Loma.
