from 130-140, who beats tank?

wondering what you think
personally, i dont know if he loses anything from 130-135. but he didnt look a genuine 140 to me tonight and struggled at times with the length, i thought you could arguably have given barrios 5 rounds (1-4, 9), granted tank bashed him in the end

I’d slightly favour loma at 130/135, slightly favour teo at 135. I’d strongly favour josh Taylor, and slightly favour ramerez and progras at 140
Ryan Garcia at 135 is a wild card. I think tank would win but I wouldent be shocked either way. Tank was getting hit a fair bit tonight, and Garcia does appear to whack…
Haney and shakur would both be interesting but without the power coming back I think they would eventually get knocked even if they were sneaking rounds.

He should really stick with 135.
Guys who have a legit shot to beat him:
Taylor (140)
Lopez (135)
Loma (135)
Prograis (140)
That's about it. Not saying all those guys would, but if they won, it wouldn't be mind blowing to me. Tank beats everybody else, IMO.

Lomachenko, Teofimo Lopez, Regis Prograis, Josh Taylor.
Possibly Haney, Possibly even Oscar Valdez. He keeps bypassing the toughest names, but there's so many big name options now that he can't keep ducking everybody. 135 and 140 are deep right now. He's 26 years old now right? So I mean he's prime. The time is now. Is he worthy of the hype or not? Only one way to find out.

he's 27 this year.....they used to go on and on about how young he was, but now teo, garcia, and haney are all younger by 3 or more years
i agree, no more hopping back and forth skipping the best guys. he looks like a beastly stud, let's see his elite talent in there vs the best

His resume is actualy still pretty trash I think. How would you rank his top 5 wins? I’d have
1, pedrosa solid guy mabey a bit frail at 130 but still a good win.
2, Leo, not a 130, but pretty good.
3, barrios, unproven, far from elite but big.
4, gamboa, was good at a point but old and hurt.
5, ????
Not like he had it all his own way in those fights, easy to get carried away after he gets a good stoppage but mabey we have to pump the breaks a bit.

well that's the thing. his resume is solid enough but not really in line with the hyped up mega talent (which i think he does have)
he needs to really go for a top of the line guy next, no bouncing from weight to weight with the cherries

I think that Tank has no business at 140 beyond cherry-picking. The top level at 140 is too much, and there are a handful of up and comers who I would favor. At 140 he is not special.
GA Russell and Matias would tear him up, IMO.

He seems talented enough and has proven he can bang at 130 -135. But it is time for him to step up, he bounces around in weight clasess but always manages to not fight the best in any of them

From the SLW unification fight earlier this year, to what I saw with Tank today-worlds apart.
Taylor is obviously way above Davies, otherwise they would have let him fight Josh for an actual title instead of this Barrios nothing belt.
I also think Lopez at LW, and maybe Loma if he's having a good day.

"from 130-140, who beats tank?"
Who cares? Fellow didn't want to fight Loma when offered the opportunity. Does he want to fight anyone? I doubt it. Tank is part of this new generation of boxers that don't want to participate in any fight, they can go fck themselves.

Patience, and his loss to a live opponent will be sweet, and if your lucky the cameras will catch Floyd's face as his #1 TMT fighter loses. Also enjoy the crowd reaction if it's as stuffed with casuals as it was Vs Barrios tonight.
Everything's going to be fine

Seeing that Loma was in top form as he was against Nakatani, his defense, and (I think) 59% landed punches, he will trample all at 130, 135, and 140….EVEN Taylor.

I just want him to fight the big fights. If he's good enough to win 'em. I'll congratulate the guy, might even become a fan if he stops hiding from the best, and starts actually living up to the hype.

I can’t see Prograis doing it. He’s lost the fire since losing to Taylor. Lopez is a superior and faster fighter.
Loma is the most intriguing matchup… I don’t know how to pick that fight.
Taylor beats him pretty handily.
The name missing is Valdez. I think he beats Tank in a fire fight.

No doubt. He's pretty fast in his own right, and Shakur definitely wouldn't be bringing much to the table that would scare Tank away from attacking him.

Tank had trouble hitting Barrios for a few rounds. He doesn't let his hands go enough for me to favor him over Shakur. I think everyone is just mezmorized by his power, but if he doesn't land, he looks stupid looking for that one shot. Shakur's feet is too fast for Tank.

Not saying Regis would win, but I think a motivated Prograis in top form can pose issues. If he beat Tank at 140, I wouldn't be shocked on it.
I think Valdez is too small. Tank took some good shots from a large for 140 Barrios. Not sure if Tank can still make 130 these days, but if he could, I 'd say he has advantages in speed/power/chin over Valdez. Hard to see how Oscar overcomes that.

He had trouble landing because he had to be wary of Barrios size and power. S.S. doesn't offer that obstacle. Tank walks down S.S. at some point, to me....

Barrios does not have any proven power. Shakur does have a great jab. Tank had trouble with Barrios slow sloppy long jab and couldn't even track Barrios down in the 8th round when he was hurt.
