Duran would edge the dec. Not his best weight, but he was craftier than Basilio.

Basilio would be stronger and busier than Duran at 160, and would take a close but clear decision.

Nah,not at 160. Basilio weighed 153 in his best MW bouts. He was technically only a junior MW,until much later in his carear. At 154 it'd be a great scrap. I think Duran would prevail though, and same even more prevently at 160 on Duran's behalf. 7-5 decision for Duran at 154,and a 8-4 or 9-3 decision for Duran at 160.

The 30 rds with SRR lead me to believe otherwise.

I think Duran would land Alot though. Especially those body punches. Basilio was 5"6,Duran 5'7. Basilio's much shorter height served as an unusually unique advantage for him vs SRR. Sometimes that happens in certain matchups.
He'd be right in Duran's range though, and he'd definitely be in all out macho brawl&maul mode mindset vs Duran, and Duran would be in his shining Glory for sure and certain. Duran would simply land more punches, and Basilio wouldn't have enough offense or defense to prevail.

Robinson was 36 and way past his best when he fought Basilio. As far as the match up between Basilio and Duran, I think Duran would win, but it could be a tough fight.

This would definitely be quite a contest. Robinson may have been past his best but his record when he was "passed it" is something most people wish they had. Basilio was no joke.
Between having to battle the mob, and having to battle all these hall of famers in what was arguably the greatest era of middleweights and welterweights ever, he certainly would have been no pushover for Roberto Duran.
I think it would have went the entire 15 rounds, with Duran taking over in the final five rounds. Until then a very back and forth hotly contested match.

In a Ring Fight of the Year, the great Roberto Duran by late stoppage in the 13th round by cuts.

Basilio wouldn't have the skill to beat Roberto, but he would take the beating valiantly, and the crowd would be pleased with effort of both men.

The great Carmen Basilio had the greater heart. The Hands of Stone had more skill.
