Coffie looks around 1.5" shorter than Rice, there is no way he is 6'5" ... Boxrec Tale of Tape for all fighters need to be revised
Both came in very heavy 271.75LBS for Coffie and 268LBS for Rice

4-0 Rice. Coffie isn't able to get anything started. Rice isn't just winning, he's throwing and connecting some hard shots. Seemed to hurt coffie early in round 4.

My heavyweight Michael got thumped tonight. For whatever reason, he didn’t look quite right. He was pawing with his job instead of throwing it strong and consistently. Props to Jonnie Rice, he showed up prepared to go to war. I believe his sparring with Tyson Fury gave him some confidence. Hopefully Michael Coffie can come back and prove himself in the near future, but he looked pretty amateurish tonight. I want to see more of Rice, he put in some hard work like he said in his post fight interview, and it paid off for him. Congratulations Mr. Rice!

After Rice lost to Demsey McKean. He totally changed his strategy and fighting style. Even though Rice himself is
a heavy puncher, He learned how to run around and punch from outside and don't engage from early rounds,
against heavy puncher like Efe Ajagba and he Displayed that before Micheal Coffie should have been smart enough
not to pick him as opponent the last moment.
I tell you man, Johnny Rice will be difficult to beat in future, he just found his game.

Coffie was decaffinated. Rice was hungry.
Is Rice the next Mike Weaver?
Coffie abandoned a good jab.

I previously thought that Jonathan Rice was a journeyman with a poor record.
I was right.
I admitted I didn’t know anything about Michael Coffie.
However, I was surprised to see Jonathan Rice score the upset.
Was that because I underestimated Jonathan Rice or whether Michael Coffie was simply the American equivalent of a horrendously protected journeyman like Mark De Mori.
Only time will tell for sure, but I strongly suspect it’s the latter based on Coffie’s lack of experience in the sport of boxing.
