The more I see of Joyce the more I wonder if Wilder could KO him. I'd love to see Wilder's expression when Joyce just blinks and then keeps coming after eating a big one.
Was just watching this old AM fight between Joyce and Frazer Clarke and the guy just eats flush punches.
Has Joyce ever been knocked out/down?
Joyce is a month older than Wilder too

Joyce has a freakish chin, but you'll never know, if it's enough against such a hard-hitting guy like Wilder. Anyway, Joyce still won't just stand out there, he's strong and has a great workrate. I guess, he'll batter Wilder, who has almost nothing, except that power.

Is Joyce sort of a bigger but cruder version of Ray Mercer?

He may be tough enough to soak up whatever Wilder has got but I don't like the thought of a man who eats punches like candy taking shots from Wilder. The man seriously needs to have better defense and head movement. Not everybody is Randall Tex Cobb.

Yeh seriously, As Mickey Duff used to say, there’s no point making lots of money if you’re not gonna be able to spend it later on.
Judging by that vid, DD doesn’t hit as hard as we thought he did ..

If Joyce just marched fowards with his relentless plodding he would be a real chance. Might get chinned for sure but would have wilder broken within 3 or 4 rounds. Wilder didn’t like fury plodding, fury is clearly better than Joyce, but he isn’t a better front foot plodder. When joe grabbed wilder in a clinch and started bear hugging him and wrestling around a bit wilder would be calling for the town to be thrown.
I think it was posted a while back and surprised me then too! But having said that, the KO was inside the first 30 seconds, when a fighter is most vulnerable, and even granite-chinned fighters have been known to get caught cold early and not recover (Tex Cobb!)

I don't think it would have been stopped in the pros, but he was clearly pretty hurt.

Yeah, doesn't seem like the experience cracked his chin even a bit

big frazer reminds me of big joe actually... looks kinda slow and clumsy, but big strong guy who finds a way to impose his big self at a high level. he rocked big jalolov but just built up too big of damage around the eye....big cut there

That’s what I thought. Clarke is also a likeable guy it seems. He is faster than Joe and can bang. Big and strong. He will make a good pro.
