Froch vs. Jermain Taylor

Wasn't his first fight in the US, but was the first one there including a world title..

Lewis' debut in the US wasn't big, as he was only starting his career then, but overall Lennox is an obvious choice for a Brit, who had a lot of big fights there.

Fury's fight vs Steve Cunningham was a fine dubut, while his first bout against Wilder was a great comeback to the US.

Nigel Benn had a short, but solid US run, which culminated with KOing Iran Barkley in the 1st round.

Frampton debuted in the US with a title fight win over Alejandro Gonzalez Jr and continued there with a win over Santa Cruz.

Frank Bruno made a good debut when he blasted out a giant American by the name of Mike Jameson in Chicago in 1983. It was a fight screened 'live' by the BBC on a Saturday night (ah, those were the days) and Bruno despatched Jameson with a big left hook followed by a brutal right uppercut as Jameson was falling. He never looked like beating the count.

Turpin snaffling the title from Sugar Ray Robinson on his US debut takes some beating.

Not a winning debut, but an honourable mention to Pat Cowdell on taking the elite Salvador
Sanchez to a SD. A comfy decision for Sanchez to be fair, but flown over as a sacrificial lamb, that was
a helluva performance from Pat.

Jameson was a very tough American journeyman and wasn’t stopped very often. The way Bruno finished him was brutal.

In fact I think his debut was on the Frank Bruno card in Chicago that Bennie has mentioned.
