Wow, was just thinking of him last week. Good fighter about ten years ago, got busted for steroids and vanished. From Panama.

Guillermo Jones was the welterweight champion of Panama back in 1995.

I remember Don King kept him inactive for long periods of time when he was WBA cruiserweight titleholder.

jones was a really good fighter back in his day, absolutely massive unit, with an iron chin, some power, and an accurate uppercut game

This event is a freakshow. The main hero of the event will be a well-known freak in the world of MMA, Vyacheslav Datsik, who is mostly known for his wild fighting style and knocking out Andrei Arlovski, when both were young.

There're a lot of similar freakshows here in Russia recently. They are broadcasted even not by a sports channel, but by an entertaining channel Ren TV, which shows different quasi-scientific stuff, blockbuster movies and etc.

A couple of years ago they showed Alexander Emelianenko(an alcoholic brother of Fedor) vs Mikhail Koklyaev, who is a famous powerman here. All sorts of freakshow boxing there.

Obviously Kudukhov won. It was shame for him to labour with Jones to a decision win.

The commentry was laughably biased. A one of the commentators was Grigory Drozd. He told that Jones was in good shape.
