2 fights in 3 months for big mak, is this an alternative universe
i dont really mind it to be honest, obv teper is old and faded, but he's still only lost to decent opponents and all those were close fights (in helly's case, close until teper got ktfo lol) where he lasted rounds
hell, could big mak even be out another time before the end of 2021

He need to do some rounds...a couple at least.
But i know it's hard for his promoter to get very good names for the budget they have.

This is trash, but better than nothing and a nice quick turn around.. leaves the posibility he could get out in december as well. Mac truck has been pro for 4 years and manage to only get about 20 rounds in. Needs to either fight more often or fight better guys (realistically both).

There is no right promotion behind Makhmudov ... he is 32 years old already and fighting tomato cans

Teper is a decent name on the resumé nothing more. I guess it's a workout and a bit of cash for Big-Mak.

Right. A total mismatch against a shot opponent with more or less noticiable name.

If I remember correctly, Gassiev should have fought Teper instead of Wallisch, but Teper had some problems with documents. Just look at this sh!t, two prospects struggle for the same mistmatched meat instead of fighting each other.

I agree.
Murat Gassiev is almost 28 years of age and his final outing at cruiserweight happened more than three years ago. And all he’s done since then is engage in two obscenely horrendous mismatches.
The former cruiserweight has been competing as a pro for a decade. He’s engaged in four world title fights and faced four world champions.
But regardless of his experience, apparently he’s decided to fight the same sort of calibre journeymen at heavyweight that debutants or extremely green novices are matched against.
Arslanbek Makhmudov is 32 years of age and by the time he enters the ring against Erkan Teper, he would be on the cusp of celebrating his four-year anniversary of competing as a pro.
Makhmudov has faced twelve guys that have failed to win a combined total of 81 bouts. Looking at the sort of opposition he’s faced over the last 2½ years, there’s no discernible improvement.
That said, a year ago I included Arslanbek Makhmudov amongst my top-five heavyweight prospects, but I did concede that he’d unlikely fulfil his potential if he didn’t start facing decent opposition soon.
And he’s not done that, so he’s joined Ivan Dychko, as a once intriguing prospect that's made themselves irrelevant.
Anyway, in terms of the trajectory of Gassiev and Makhmudov’s careers at heavyweight, it's clear they’ve both flat-lined.
Seeing Gassiev and Makhmudov fight each other would the Russian equivalent of the Joyce-Dubois fight.
Both Gassiev and Makhmudov need to do something risky in order to resuscitate their careers. They need to be progressed as aggressively as Joe Joyce.

As much as we would all love to see these two fight, realistically they both want their first difficult and risky test to be against an established contender who will cement their credentials as a viable title challenger.
Their problem of course is that established contenders aren't usually keen to risk their reputation/ ranking against a dangerous opponent who has not yet acquired the lofty status that makes fighting them an attractive proposition in terms of reward.
For example Makhmudov is a guy that can potentially destroy you with his power but if you were to do a number on him, it's more likely people will write him off as a pretender rather than go overboard in their appreciation of your performance.

Makhmudov stepped on to the scale to register a weight of 260 pounds.
A few moments later, it was his opponent Teper's turn to step up to the scale. The latter recorded a weight of 264 pounds.

Teper heard people say big mak and thought he was getting invited over for a nice buffet, only for this big evil man to punch him

big mak has just steamrolled all his opponents, hasnt had to box at all really, just like heavy bag work vs guys overwhelmed by the power. hope he's at least getting really good sparring to prepare him for opponents who will give something back
