im not sure, i know he's obviously very famous and popular there, but he did lose an election before
if he won, surely that would be his retirement. as president im sure he'd be able to get all his debts fixed up pretty quickly

i think he is pretty hugely loved there, but i dont know if there';s more to people's voting there than that. as i said he did lose an election before, though it was a while ago--he was still big time famous there though
he has some pretty weird and scandalous stuff in his background actually, so his presidency might be fun
he has advocated for death squads too, but somehow remains the nice little ffriendly filipino guy

More than just a normally sucking fight because it had the potential to be very good. Rigo just refused to engage enough to win.
It is a shame because his movement/elusiveness for an entire 12 rounds was nothing short of amazing for a 40 year old boxer. All that was necessary was to engage a small % more and sit down on his punches just a bit.
It is true that a few early lefts convinced Casimero to be far more cautious which contributed greatly to the lack of action. But it was not enough to win outright. I had it 115-113 Casimero. I consider 117-111 too wide.
Rigo is still one of the best pure boxers that I have ever seen.

Effective offense is part of being a great boxer. Just defensive skill alone is only half of the package.
