Holyfield would outbox Tyson, possibly stop him late. Nothing unusual or inimaginable.

I think Mike Tyson beats Holyfield at that point.
Bert Cooper had Evander in all kinds of trouble in Atlanta November 91.

Hardly there would be the same performance against any more serious opponent. Fighters often underestimate sudden lower level substitutes.

This fight in 1991 would have been the historical fight instead than the one in 1996.
Everybody was waiting for that fight like if it were an event of a lifetime. It was one of the most anticipated fights of all-time until that crapping injury. Then, the trial with Desiree Washington the fight went all down the drain.
I was rooting for The Real Deal to win by knockout in the 11th round

At the time, my money was on Holyfield to stop him; I was gutted when Tyson got hurt and it was cancelled.

The pre -Douglas/Robin Givens Tyson was a different beast. I think a game Holyfield would truly be carried out on his shield where the mind and heart were willing but the body couldn't keep up.
The Tyson Holyfield did face ,was still head and shoulders above most others, but lost his aura of invincibility.
The Tyson of old I hear often ,was overrated.I don't think so. He was a student of the game in every aspect and would have come in in great shape, knowing that Holyfield would as well.Tyson by tko late
