I notice on boxrec harrison is due to fight juan manuel marquez in July, I haven't heard anything but "no smoke without fire" as they say (btw - where has this come from?).
Marquez being without doubt the best boxer in the division will surely muller scott, If he cant handle the boxing ability of victor pollo, walter estrada and manuel medina (first time of asking) Marquez will give him fits. crazy matchmaking if this one comes off.

I've driven down the A55 many times, didnt realise Harrison owned it.

Thats almost as surreal as harrison beating marquez....

Well, this is Boxing. On the flip side, there are many Boxers at Featherweight who could get their shot at Marquez with a ranking within the WBA and IBF contendership, so would they warrant a shot more than Harrison?

Ok, Harrison on paper has a draw with Polo and in the eyes of many lost the fight, but he is still a fellow world champion at the same weight today, WBO or not, hes holding a key ABC belt, outside the top three. Marquez's camp see another World Championship belt and a meaningful fight and it can be marketed as a meeting of two World Champions.

Marquez for me is a hell of a fighter He has the boxing skills to give Harrison nightmares. If Harrison gets into a brawl, Marquez has the firepower and the heart to match his skills. All you have to do is watch the 1st round of his fight with Manny Pacquiao and see how he comes back.

I think Scott Harrison should take this fight, get the pay day and a chance. Its looming sooner or later he’s going to lose the WBO title to someone unheard of and be left with no real cards for the table.

If he loses to Marquez and puts up a fight, then he’s lost to the best and may get another chance again down the line with someone like Chi. If he pulls the upset, which I don't think he can, then he’s the man at nine stone.

He's been calling for a big fight over and over, now he has a chance to fight the very best.

Eastman is doing it, Hatton is doing it, now I hope Harrison will do it. Even if they all lose, at least they give it a shot

You can add Clinton Woods (already given it a go vs the number 1 guy in the world at the time) also Wayne McCullough and Damean Kelly also in deserve a mention.

I agree with what your saying, this is the kind of fight i have wanted to see him in. It just doesn't seem right. i know all about the sanctioning bodies making a joke of the sport but i really dont think a fighter coming off anything other than a win should have a shot like this in my dreamed up perfect boxing world

Couldn't agree more. And I think Harrison would take the fight.

Only thing that worries me is that the public have been conned enough already with countless 'world' title fights.
