Highly regarded Martin Bakole will make his return to the ring when he takes on Haruna Osumanu in a heavyweight showdown on September 18.

The pair will collide in Dubai on the undercard of the clash between strongman-turned-boxer Thor Bjornsson, and arm wrestling legend Devon Larratt, and it will be broadcast live on CoreSports.World.

Bakole (16-1, 12 KOs) is back following his unanimous decision victory over Sergey Kuzmin in December, winning the WBC International heavyweight title in the process.

He has spent the last few weeks in camp with Oleksandr Usyk, ahead of the Ukrainian’s clash with Anthony Joshua for the IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles on September 25.

Osumanu (11-2, 7 KOs) has won all but two of his professional fights, and has shared the ring with former Daniel Dubois opponent Ebenezer Tetteh, and undefeated Russian prospect Arslan Iallyev.

Elsewhere on the card in Dubai on September 18, CrossFit rivals Josh Bridges and Jacob Heppner collide, while the likes of Avril Mathie, Stefi Cohen and more are all in action too.

Atrocious fight but good to see him out. He’s suffered from inactivity at times. As well as that I’d imagine he’s picking up a packet of cash for this a bit like Dubois and Fury did. If we were boxers and there was free money about we would all do it. Provided it’s not multiple fights like this we shouldn’t moan.

Terrible fight. It's hard to overstate just how bad Haruna Osumanu is. This is a monumental waste of energy.

Bakole, like Hughie Fury, has really suffered with inactivity for seemingly no reason.

Matchroom have better strength in depth on their U.K. shows now but not the volume of shows to get guys like this, who won’t be headlining but but need to be well paid, active.

Yea imagine a world where bakole and hrgovic fought. And mr 580 and mr 230 fought on the undercard. Ahhh, imagineation land is bliss.

To be fair Hrgovic seemed happy to get in with the guy who’s beaten Bakole in the IBF final eliminator.

And the thing is, the fringe heavyweights all tread water by facing guys who could then step in and face their rivals over the next year or so. Bakole beat Wach, and Hughie fights Wach while treading water. Unbeaten Yoka beats Hammer, and Hughie fights Hammer next. Hunter has the opportunity to fight for the IBF top slot, and pulls out to fight an unknown. Just seems like a lot of these fringe heavyweights fight each others' retreads and nobody is really leaping out of the pack, though I suppose Joyce has done more than most of them over the past two years. Hughie is where he was several years ago, as is Bakole and Hunter. Kayabel's progress is so bad he is almost going backwards. Even the old guard like Ortiz, Ruiz and Charles Martin, who've been to the top of the pile and either fought for or won world titles, are just treading water too these days. I like Hughie, but him facing Hammer on Sky in Nov 2021, but it seems like he could have fought him in 2016. Hergovic will blitz his unknown opponent in a round or two, and that opponent will no doubt win one or two before being fed to folk like Bakole, Hughie or Hunter next year. All the belts are tied up to probably the back end of next year and nobody seems to care about moving forwards properly. Hughie vs Bakole is what a proper Sky main event should be, not Hughie vs a retread.

Game of Thrones star and 2018 World's Strongest Man Thor Bjornsson returns to the ring next week for his latest showdown, taking on Devon Larratt, who is widely-regarded as one of the best arm wrestlers of all-time.

The two men will headline a stacked card at Sport Society in Dubai on Saturday 18 September, and will be broadcast live on CoreSports.World.

The card sees Thor return to the ring for the third time, following on from his exhibition bouts with professional boxers Steven Ward and Simon Vallily earlier this year.

Hopefully Bakole quits again, that'll stop Billy Nelson banging on about fighting Whyte etc. Billy has quit twitter since he exposed for try to trap Lewis Ritson

Larriet looks dreadful - like a shambling down and out. If he walked towards you down the street you'd think you had to cross the road to avoid the smell.

Aside from that I was looking at Hrgovic's last opponent, and Jesus Christ, talk about padded records. He was 18-0 fighting guys with no wins.
