The Jake Paul circus ppv will have tanked on BT and Paul may not even fight Tommy Fury now. There's also rumours of DAZN buying BT.

Is Queensbury just going through the motions now, has the BT money dried up or what is happening?

If Fury beats Wilder and then AJ, he's on top of the world, albeit (I'm guessing) as the UK-end promoter of Fury. It's still a powerful hand to hold. It can open doors or keep them open and attract new prospects to sign.

I don't think any of his light heavyweights will succeed on the world stage but he's making what he can from that, with what he has.

The law of averages would have at least one of his prospects come through and go all the way. Catterall will earn well, and if he gives a decent showing Fwank might position him for a shot at a vacant title next year when Josh moves onto fresh pastures.

Dubois could win a version of the world title in a post Fury/AJ world, and is young enough to be around for at least ten to fifteen more years. Can't see Joyce being around in five years.

Difference with Fwank and Eddie is, Fwank doesn't have the capability to be adding to his stable with established fighters from overseas, or the network to put them on. Fwank's focus is just doing what he has done for decades, bringing prospects through on the UK scene. Eddie is truly international.

Can't imagine BT being happy with the output really. Catterall ends up on Sky, the Fury/AJ fight will be a joint broadcast. It'll take all of Fwank's expertise to turn Tommy Fury's social media profile/following into a ratings winner on BT Sport, he has a long long way to go.

Maybe over the longer term, in 2-3 years when there is no AJ, Fury or even Arum, perhaps some of Fwank's prospects will have come good and be ready to become stars.

Is he still Fury's UK promoter, Top Rank are putting on Taylor Catterall aren't they, so they're getting more active over here. Also with Mick Conlan.

On the Light Heavys, needs CJ in with Yarde or Arthur before end 2021. Not like he has much else going.

He needs Joyce and Dubois active also. Joyce needs a big fight, he's not getting a WBO shot for a long time Usyk is current mandatory I don't believe Joyce has even got mandatory status yet.

Joyce against Ortiz on BT or Chisora on BT Box would be good and winnable.

He should do a Belfast show with Cacace and Aygarko, perhaps even a TR co promo with Mick Conlan on. Maybe try get Tommy McCarthy out in a decent fight. Definitely would do tickets too.

Cacace has serious potential even at world level if he backs him. Also Nathan Gorman, should be getting out more, try do Wardley for English or even Adelaye.

The BT move has been awful for all concerned.

Yeah it's an issue for sure, although Eddie is fornicating up running orders now too with Hatton Jr and women's rights way up the cards and better fights on too early.

One poblem for Warren is Nathan Heaney sells so much tickets he has to go on near the top as his Stoke supporters seem to leave immediately. But Heaney against a journeyman is crap at that stage.

I think he could do worse than plan a big show around DD or Joyce vs Chisora, it'd be a BT PPV and I am not sure they'd generate enough buys to pay Delboy what he is accustomed to earning. Am sure Eddie keeps throwing him a bone just to keep him away from ending up on BT. DD vs Allen and Joyce vs Chisora would do well in December. I think Ortiz is a bit past it and inactive now and wouldn't be a big enough draw for folk, in their droves, to cough up for a PPV.

There's also far too many outmatched journeymen on Warren's shows.

There needs to be competitive fights these days, people just won't bother with it anymore they're flocking off to UFC, other sports, Netflix, or just going out to the pub( with most pubs not even showing Boxing anymore)

I like the Del Boy Joyce fight, it might not be as big a payday as Del Boy will have had but it's still the biggest payday he's getting anytime soon.

DAZN aren't going to pay the big money for the Chisora Parker rematch or it would have been scheduled already I reckon.

If you look at the B-side of his 2 cards this week, do any of them have one notable win between? From memory, no.

The days are gone of being able to get credit for opposition just because they have a decent record or have never been stopped. Has he done one notable show this year? I don’t think so.

He’ll continue doing what he’s doing. Putting on one sided fights with an occasional good fight at British level.

He’s Tyson’s promoter in name only at the moment - he couldn’t get a fight sorted for the U.K. in December when Tyson really wanted one. Also there was no announcement over which channel would air the original 3rd fight with Wilder - or this one.

He also had a co promotional deal with Frampton but that went by the wayside when he fought on channel 5.

He did very well though getting both Dubois and Tommy Fury on the Paul PPV. Dubois did what he needed to but Tommy didn’t so may not get the big fight he and Frank hoped for.

Frank hasn’t really moved with the times from a promotional point of view but he still has a good TV network behind him so will be around for a while longer. He hasn’t had much success in recent years signing Olympians so has focused on signing young barely senior amateurs. He’ll get some good ones but it’s a bit of a lottery and who knows if any of them will make it big. Ricky Hatton turned pro like this but I doubt whether Frank has the promotional ability now to get someone over like that. It’s been a long while I think since he turned someone over from amateur and guided them to a world title - Billy Joe I think was the last one and that’s a long time ago in boxing.

I don’t really see Yarde or Arthur as been above British level. I think Callum Johnson would batter them both & as talented as the Edwards brothers are they’ve got no commercial value but while ever he’s got Dubois & Joyce he’s still relevant as a promoter.

He only really needs 3 or 4 big names at the most as BT are probably only doing about 1 card a month on average.

I get the need to get the fighters out, and the Copper Box was probably a two-for-one deal for both nights, but Friday's show genuinely looks like one of those Fight Zone cards: a well matched main event, supported by a multitude of tedious prospect vs journeyman bouts.

Incredibly, it's currently scheduled for four and a half hours on BT Sport 1 (19:30-00:00).

It will probably seem twice as long for those who choose to watch it live.

Good point because Callum's opponent this week is 27-1 but you just know it is a knock over job. He got knocked out in April by a super middleweight.

Is the Saturday card even much better? I'll probably stick on Eggington on Channel 5 Friday as it's supposedly a competitive fight. Stevie McKenna is a good prospect on undercard but think only main event live.

You have the wonder are some of the fighters and their teams turning down good fights for easier opponents.

Or is Warren just protecting them. Either way it's time to roll the dice on most of these guys and no more tune ups and keep busys.
