watching marcus mcdonnel raising campbell hatton's hand after his opponent clowned him, steve grey giving ebbs a gift, the judges who turn in absolutely inexcusable dreadful scores ringside, etc. what are they thinking/feeling you think?

proud to have scored a win for the home team? embarrased? ashamed?

does it take a 'special' person simply not capable of feeling shame? would they simply laugh off the criticism if they read these forums and knew everyone thought they were being tossers and sucking at their job?

They’ve either justify it to themselves like this or they actually lie to themselves about who is the winner. Like “well I think Hatton was coming forward and making the fight…. He was putting on the pressure whereas Martinez was running and holding” or some other BS.

What's to investigate? Everyone knows what is going on. This is the way the boxing establishment wants it to be.

That’s why they don’t use judges that are not in the click & only use a scoring referee in most bouts , everyone in the game knows which refs are in certain promotors pockets been going on for years and will continue going on , that’s why the journeymen will always take an extra £200 to move the ticket selling prospect around and not try to win , which probably goes on at every show .

Bunce is part of the gravy train no matter how much he denies it. If he has Campbell Hatton on the radio in the future, he'll give it the ' close fight, wasn't a robbery, I had you 2 rounds ahead.' He's a media tart and he knows it. His interviews make Adam Smith seem like Jeremy Paxman.

Spot on. Last time I remember Bunce addressing controversial scoring was after the Vasquez-Ritson fight and he said that he was getting fed up...not by the poor scoring but by fans always moaning and claiming a robbery. He seems far removed from being an objective journalist. He's comes across more like an agent, a PR man.

bunce constantly rags on the fans and is very condescending to anyone who disagrees with him, one of these high and mighty types. he's a bit of a weirdo tbh, the big dave thing was hilariously bizarre

Last night just proves referees can't score and referee a fight at the same time. About time we had 3 judges for fights. might not work on the small hall shows due to costs but no excuses on tv bills. (judges still would have had Hatton winning last night)

I wish McDonnell was made to sit through the fight and explain exactly how he scored it and why he came to a conclusion nobody else much did. If he thought Hatton blocking punches with his face was winning the fight then come out and tell us otherwise the only explanation is he needs to be stripped of his judges licence till he can score a fight correctly

British Boxing exists in a small bubble consisting of the same team made up of IJL, Terry O'Conner, Howard Foster, etc. They see the same folk like Hearn, the fighters, the trainers etc, all the time, they dine with them before the shows and drink with them in the hotels etc. As a result they give them every possible inch they think they can get away with. Howard Foster was geared up to give AJ a draw last night until he was effectively saved by the bell in that last round.

How are referees appointed (and potentially vetoed) and paid, and does this give rise to a conflict of interest ?

Just looked at the judges cards for Joshua fight last night, I cannot for the life of me work out how Howard Foster scored the 1st to Joshua

Foster, Gray, IJL, McDonnell etc have been involved in too much crap now

Needs new referees and judges in, and RS at the Board probably needs replacing too

They can't go one night without corrupt refereeing or judging, unacceptable

after watching that fight, I realised I didn't know what boxing was anymore. the Usyk victory was a relief, but I now know these guys running British boxing are crooks. i've been very naive. having said that, I don't think the BBC (my tax money) should be employing or paying any of them. No more podcasts or radio shows including these people - they can fornicate off onto Youtube.

The parlous state of judging on UK shows is best demonstrated by the fact that having seen Usyk put on a masterclass against AJ yesterday which to the keen boxing fan would’ve left no doubt that Usyk was a clear points winner, I bet most people on here had no faith that the judges would call it right.

Officials know they have to be biased and corrupt to get more work at shows. I don't think a BBBOC referee has been held up on his actions and Robert Smith will always defend them.

where's the Cook Report when you need it. Panorama. This is glaring criminality on our screens, barely attempting to hide now. I won't be paying to watch any of this stuff until something is done.

I think the Hatton judge might regret it. Probably watched it back and thought fornicate, I know I was robbing him but this is ridiculous.

McDonnell has been at it for years, like almost 30 years, he has no conscience.

Nice to see the world has seen it rather than on a non TVs show.
