Fury Usyk AJ

I thought AJ vs Usyk was a great fight. I however think that its like done and over, I don't really think that it should bring AJ's stock down that much or at all really and a rematch, yay we will see repeat or revenge, not that interesting at the moment. AJ vs Fury is however a little bit more interesting. If anyone can beat the giant than a well roided AJ is the right man for the job and if not then there is no shame in losing to a giant. As for "freakweight" Fury vs cruiserweight Usyk that is not a fight that I would ever like to see.

What if Fury gets KOd by Wilder? I'd love to see Fury vs Usyk. Fury struggled bigtime with Wallin, a southpaw that isn't half as skilled as Usyk. Furys days of using headlocks and rabbit punches are over, and that's the only way he beats Usyk.

Fury vs Usyk, Fury UD win. Usyk struggled with Chizza's come forward style, Fury beat him easier in the rematch..

As soon as someone is smart enough to beat the hell out of Furys big flabby midsection, he'll be done. He's too elusive, tall, and awkward to hit in the head, unless the body goes first.

The best vs the best is always a priority, so Fury-Usyk.

I think the performance with Wallin is overblown. Everybody knows Tyson Fury did not take the man seriously and did more partying than he did training for the Swede. Even with all that, with one eye he won practically every round in a rather wide decision.
For Usyk, Fury would not cut any corners and would take the man absolutely seriously and it would be a hard fight for the Ukrainian.

Fury had an 8 1/2 week training camp for the Wallin fight and came in lighter than when he faced Wilder and Schwarz. If anything, he overtrained and lost his strength (his dad was overly critical of his attempt to come in body beautiful). Ben Davison said that Fury had been overdoing it in the gym but put it down to his mental state at the time, filling in those moments of spare time where the past temptations would take him off the rails by continuing to train. He had to tell him to stop and rest.
As for taking Wallin lightly, sure, the guy was an unknown fighter, but it's heavyweight boxing and past upsets show you're only one punch (or cut, as it could have been in this fight) away from a defeat. So it's no-one else's fault but the boxer himself if he's not mentally prepared.
Personally, I think it was a combo of Fury being too light at a weight that negated his strength and the tactics he uses to lean and roughhouse opponents, coupled with Wallin exceeding expectations and not giving Fury any respect. His own roughhousing, such as rubbing Fury's cut when they were told to break, is the sort of stuff Mr Too-nice apoligetic Joshua should be taking note of.

OK, since his fans are making excuses for him, which was it? Was Fury over-trained or under trained?

Fury was close to losing that fight.

Fury's training and weight of 273lbs was perfect for when he splatted Wilder around the ring in the rematch.

There's really nothing to make of Fury's Wallin fight. With a massive cut to deal with, Fury won probably ten of twelve rounds.

Seriously, I never understood any hoopla over Wallin's performance.

Wallin's not bad, but... fighters just get cut sometimes. If not for the cut those two would've had a pretty forgettable fight. (Still dominated, in either case, by Fury.)

I can't deny a fighter a chance of redemption, its something I respect, so I'm going to see if AJ and his team can come up with a better game plan for Uysk II

A plan is not the problem. Execution of that plan is. Is he capable?

If Joshua goes straight at Usyk like a Sherman tank guns blazing he certainly will have more success than he did the last time. Joshua simply did not let his hands go enough when he should have been a bully in the ring.
The question is is that the best we will see the Ukrainian be at heavyweight or does he have an answer for anything that Joshua would throw at him?

He changed his style after fat andy for fatter andy.

He needs to go out guns blazingly as out boxing Uysk didn't work because he can't.
Best to stick to what he knows which is a stiff power jab followed by as many right hands as it takes.
There was a point where he momentarily stunned Uysk, but he has lost the killer instinct to jump on guys when that happens.
Maybe fat andy has permanently left him gun shy?

Guns blazing makes him more open to returning fire. Would be a worse outcome.

Wouldn't mind the rematch. Decent chance Joshua catches Usyk and drops him this time.
But I'd rather see him take on Fury for the undisputed title.

gunz blazing i wouldnt worry so much about him getting the shit countered out of him as i would him gassing quickly and then having nothing left with tons of rounds to go
if he goes ball to the wall id expect usyk to mostly go defensive and ride it out , and then when josh is gassed start putting it on him
i dont think josh is comfortable enough in there to just go in swinging though

that's it.
if he can't overcome that phlegma that doesn't let him pull the trigger, which even kept hold of him when he had to knock usyk out to win & even then when he was hurt, he gets beat again.
that usyk doesn't invite you to come out of that perceived shell or safe zone where u just stick out your hands, going thru the motions without too much commitment... of course not, but who at the highest level will?

i guess the best wilder can do in the series is 1-1-1 then, but its a good thing, enough of these f@cking rematches, the winners of wilder-fury and josh-usyk should obviously fight
