Anthony Joshua wants to fight Fury-Wilder winner ?

Anthony Joshua is willing to face Fury-Wilder winner, neglecting the rematch vs. Usyk.
OK, I understand that Fury(Wilder) fight will be more lucrative, but I think AJ (as a proud man)will have to try to beat Usyk in the rematch.
So I think it would be a bad decision.
What do you think ?
Why ?

That’s definitely not what he said!
The Joshua-Usyk rematch is going to happen, at least that’s what Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua have both clearly stated.
Oleksandr Usyk cannot avoid the immediate rematch either, since it’s one of the stipulations he agreed to when he signed the contract to face AJ.
And lets’ face it, Usyk would definitely want the Joshua rematch anyway, because it’ll be another very winnable fight, where he’ll receive a massive payday.
In terms of Joshua’s actual words, he said he was willing to fight both Wilder and Fury with or without the titles, because he claimed they were fights people would watch regardless as to whether there were belts on the line.
And let’s face it, he’s right, isn’t he?
Assuming Joshua loses the Usyk rematch, which is clearly no certainty (based on the judges’ scorecards after eight rounds), then he’ll have to chase the next biggest payday, which will probably be either Wilder, Fury or Whyte.

I think if AJ loses the rematch with Usyk, his drawing power will wane dramatically.
The casuals like winners - and the purists won't really be interested either.

Boxing News 24, Charles Brun : "Anthony Joshua is ready to walk away from his rematch with Usyk to take on the winner of the October 9th fight........."
I read this an hour ago. I don't know if this is true.

AJ learning from Usyk, deliberately looking crap in order to secure the true big fight.

Frank Bruno, Amir Khan, Dereck Chisora etc? Need I say more?
The Brits do have a history of celebrating losers more than cocky winners.

I read this an hour ago. I don't know if this is true.
I'm sure we could both, with very little effort, find at least a dozen video interviews on YouTube of Joshua and Hearn both clamouring for the Usyk rematch.
So we've already received confirmation from the proverbial horses mouth their intention to activate the immediate rematch clause.
Is it possible they'll change their minds? Yes, but extremely unlikely. How can they go back on their word and duck the Usyk rematch after everything they've kept telling the media?

Again, I read this on the very famous portal, and I don't know if this is true (sad if yes).

It makes the most sense, even from a boxing fan perspective. AJ can say he wants to beat Fury/Wilder to go into the rematch with Usyk to make it a unification, and the biggest event ever in the history of heavyweight boxing, or something along those lines... Easy enough sell. Usyk absolutely has his number and will knock him out next time. He can go into the fight with Fury (or Wilder) at least in the knowledge that this guy hasn't beaten him up already and there is nothing he can really do to win, no matter what he tries. If he goes straight back in with Usyk that massive money fight will never be there ever again. Let Fury and Wilder fight, see who wins, if its Fury fight a bum at the 02 as a confidence builder, then make fight Fury at Wembley in the summer. Usyk gets a bit older, will have to fight Joe Joyce in a fun one and put a few more miles on the clock...
AJ isn't beating any of them though I don't think. So just go for where the money is, now. The next fight is probably going to be his last.
I thought we all hated all these immediate rematches anyway?

At least we don't already know who's going to win.

Any combination of AJ, Usyk, Wilder, Fury or Whyte facing each other while an undisputed unification happens alongside it is what we need to stop the division going stale the moment it gets unified.

I'd add Joyce to that.

He should fight the loser of that (Wilder). The fight for the Bronze, so to speak. The winner should fight Usyk for the undisputed championship.

Bruno was a pretty unusual case, and boxing as a whole was a lot more popular back then than now, as it was covered often with front page news items about upcoming heavyweight fights.
Khan started out as a winner, he won Olympic Silver and stormed to a world title early on after an early loss. He was a good story.
Chisora isn't really a household name, nor is he a huge draw.
AJ's name was built on his early success, i don't see him staying popular with repeated defeats.

This is what I think too. Let the losers face each other, and the winners battle gor the real championship. Whoever makes it through the bronze medal round gets the next shot at the winner

Don't worry Otto Wallin will beat him and they will have a rematch
