I would like to know what the record, in professional boxing, is for the most amount of times two boxers have been matched against each other???

This record is held by Audley Harrison (17-0-0) who has fought A. Bum an astonishing 17 times in his professional career.

For a half sensible answer, you'll probably find it to be a pair of boxers from the same stable or with the same manager, and one is put in front of the other as cannon fodder to pad out the other's record.

I read about two boxers from NY who fought each other something like 40 times. Can't remember the full story though.

I would have said Ted Kid Lewis and Jack Britton... But obviously given Josh's reply, thats not correct.

At Heavyweight Sam Lanford, Harry Wills, Sam McVey and Joe Jennatte all fought each other many many times.
