Thats the fight of the year for sure!

Both fighters fought a great action-packed fight!

Fury vs Usyk would be a sweet boxing match! :box:

Wilder vs Whyte or Ruiz would be some very entertaining fights! :box:

 :salut: :yay:

Yes, it is the fight of the year.

You know what, I have been keeping Lewis-Klitschko as the best fight of the current century for years, but now it's pulled to the 2nd place.

Fury is a great boxer and fighter. Praise the Gypsy King!

I watched the fight and was on the edge of my seat. It was awesome..

Then I watched different slo mo camera angles of the KDs and it was awesome..

And then watched a highlight package on the TV sports news and it was awesome..

What I'm trying to say is that it was awesome :yay:

Ive noticed in recent years on internet forums how NBA and NFL are full of potentional heavyweight boxing champs. Nonsense. You cannot teach boxing toughness and heart like that. Some people are born with that :box: :box: :box:

True, they have incredible physical attributes but without toughness, heart and natural born fighter genes, you cannot be a great fighter like Ali, Lennox, Foreman, Fraizer, Liston, Holyfield, Holmes, James Douglas, Mike Tyson, Klitschkos and now Gipsy King and Usyk! :box:

Anyway, after this fight I think Wilder would've beat AJ, even now I think Wilder would beat AJ and it would be an intriguing fight.

Stylistically Wilder is all wrong for a stiff-upright and hesitante fighter like AJ. Wilder is a stronger, bigger, fitest , powerful and athletic version of Ruiz Jr.

Imo this was the best version of Wilder we have seen, even if he lost.

wilder is absolutely nothing like ruiz jr, for one he cant throw a quick, short counter left hook like that which set off aj's problems. his shots are all long telegraphed bombs, not quick looping combos in close

totally different dynamics, as opposite as you can get

it would be great to actually see them fight. aj wasnt good vs usyk, but wilder doesnt have any of usyks moves and is 36, coming off a brutal prolonged ko loss where he was nearly out cold, been ko'd 2 in a row, hasnt won in 2.5 years, and has talked retirement recently. hes won maybe 2-3 rounds in the last 2 fury fights. i think he's on the way down and will be more vulnerable than ever if he ever fights again, but obviously hes still a big puncher

btw, wilder is stiff and upright himself, him and aj have that in common

While i am agree Wilder is bad match for Joshua, Joshua is huge puncher himself. Who knows how Wilder will react to that bombs

After AJ got KO'ed by Ruiz , no he is gun shy and he's more hesitante to thorow fully heavy punches. He's fighting more like W.K

wilder only throws about 25-30 punches a round himself . wonder how he'll be after getting brutally KO'd far harder than aj ever has

Well yes, Ruiz threw those quick inside punches vs AJ but atm AJ is gun shy when he's fighting. Wilder has heart and he would touch AJ's chin for sure.

aj is just as busy as wilder is

i doubt wilder will be any more aggressive after being knocked cold and getting brutally battered either

AJ vs. Wilder is still the most intriguing fight to be made at HW. I just can't picture anything but a brutal stoppage from one or the other. The fight is Still just as intriguing to me as it was when they were both undefeated Champions. Now we've seen both of their vulnerabilities and on the losing end, it almost makes it even more intriguing because it's a no miss action fight and someone is going to sleep.

What was once one of the most talked about fights in boxing still makes so much sense. The fight for relevancy, both coming off a loss with so much to gain and everything to lose.

Wilder vs Whyte would be brutal. AJ and Ruiz, now are trying to box more.

It was a great fight for us fans - extremely exciting, but let's be honest - it wasn't at the level of a Bowe-Holfield, or even a Joshua-Usyk in terms of the skills on display. Wilder has a monster right hand but isn't a great boxer otherwise and a sloppy, overweight Fury still managed to outland him 2:1.

Wilder indeed doesn't have too much of skills on display, he's a World class puncher though and that's a big problem to any opponent, cause boxing is about getting hit eventually. Fury did everything in a proper way to neutralize Wilder, except going reckless while smelling blood in the 4th.

This fight is exactly the type of fight that makes us love heavyweight title fights.

I think the contrasting styles, the bruising warrior VS the skilled tactician can be a great matchup and that's what has happened here.

Now I don't know if any further fights between these two make any sense. Yeah, it might be entertaining but I think Wilder has had his chances and I'm not sure he's relevant to the title anymore.

That was a definite classic. Best HW match I've ever watched.

Wilder and AJ have the same flaw.....too much muscle and too little oxygen to feed it.

Wilder was dead tired by the 6th round carrying that extra muscle. His legs aren't built to carry that much weight up top. It did look like he trained a bit better but he still could not carry his steam with that extra muscle past 6 rounds. He would have been best off going into all 3 fights staying around that 212 area.

The biggest misconception in boxing is that muscular and chiseled bodies are preferable. They are not. These guys like Wilder and Joshua cannot fuel those bodies properly for long distance fighting. Lots of other muscle bound guys have been the same way.

Fury's less muscular body is massively easier to keep fueled for the long and steady haul. His body style is actually his biggest advantage over the rest of the big HW's today. Nobody else near his size can keep the foot on the gas for all 12 rounds without slowing down much and being at risk to blow themselves up after a super active round.

Big props to Wilder though. He is definitely the 2nd best big HW in the world. Unlike Joshua you have never seen any quit come out of him. Joshua has the muscle bound stamina issue and the mental weaknesses. Wilder even at the worst of times has never given up and been mentally broken. Too bad for him that Fury is in his era. Wilder likely would have ripped AJs head off and been the man of this era if not for the exceptional package of size, skill, endurance and mental strength that Fury brings. Fury is simply one of the very best HWs of all time. He has everything you want of a champ inside and outside of the ring. Huge entertainment value on top of the exceptional ring performances.

Great fight though. Will forget it. :box:

I think muscular builds work fine in boxing. I think the biggest problem is with these guys that are 6'5+ getting too muscular. Smaller guys that are muscular don't seem to have the same issue as these giant heavyweights do. Plus don't forget that Wilder is 35 now too so that's getting past prime for most fighters.
