Just been announced. What a massively underwhelming fight.
Terri Harper as chief support and I don’t think any other fights confirmed.

This is the type of card you can't do on Sky money, as Eddie keeps telling you all.
(Regardless of Scott Quigg fighting Kiko for a belt on a Sky Card which featured Crolla/Perez 1 for a world title, with Sam Eggington/Glenn Foot for the British title and Martin Murray, Charlie Edwards and Jono Carroll below the).

Yep. Wouldn’t bother me us much if there were other U.K. shows in November but really underwhelming if this is it.

Game. Changed.
Apparently I've got until 18th October to decide if I want to continue my DAZN subscription. Really, why would I? I actually thought that we were going to get some exciting/intriguing match ups. It's the same old, same old. Let's wheel out Martinez for one of our home fighters to beat and build it up because Martinez is 'tough', 'former world champion', etc etc.
I'd like a bit more before I commit...and I'm a fairly tolerant boxing fan!

Poor top of the bill and not very interesting undercard.

I think you have to weigh it up with what other fights/shows you get for your money. If we also get Lopez/Kambosos and Ryan Garcia shows then it’s worth keeping.
Just really disappointing that this is all they’re doing in the U.K.

Galahad - Martinez sounds like a 2014 channel 5 main event for the European title, suppose you are entitled to a low risk first defence. no doubt Martinez was the cheapest so much for DAZN money for bigger fights.

Only a matter off time, Frank, Eddie, Boxxer all have a show the same night.

How long before Eddie ends up on channel 5??
Think the DZN move was seriously thick.

Didn't Martinez lose his last fight? I used to think the big 4 used to say you couldnt fight for a title on the back of a defeat (non immediate rematch excluded)

Does seem to be going tits up pretty quickly. Whyte expects PPV… Joshua still is PPV quality (I won’t complain if his fights are on DAZN PPV exclusively) but what happens when they likes of Benn, Warrington ect expect to be on PPV? I don’t see how he can pay their purses on maybe 200k people paying 8 quid a month.

Looks like Eddie got a bit ahead of himself. No sky equals no match room boom.

Yes, this DAZN move doesn’t seem to be working out great.
Eddie has given up his monopoly on the biggest UK sports platform and It seems he is being marginalised somewhat. He now doesn’t automatically attract the UK’s best fighters. Perhaps he knew this would happen and plans to grow back into a position of power with DAZN. However, their seemingly continual price shifting doesn’t appear good.
Eddie’s previous rantings on IFLtv videos that Sky can’t replace him because he is the best and then his criticism of Sky not giving him much coverage in the build up to the Joshua-Usyk fight hints at desperation and insecurity.

Think he had a fight in Barcelona a month or so back.

Hearn is losing the casuals since this DAZN move. Most of the replies on his tweets are criticism and abuse. Before they were licking his arse. Asking people to add on another monthly subscription for the same if not worse content was asking for it.

Look at the 30th. Wyhte’s purse is obviously taking up the budget. It’s a catch 22 for Hearn; he doesn’t put on good all round cards and subs will quickly drop… but he needs more subs to put on better shows.

This is a bad sign… I wonder if Hearn will start to stop promoting UK shows and literally just go for purse bid wins in the USA… like with Lopez/Kamboses.
You might see him become a freelance promoter kinda like he’s done occasionally with Canelo.

If DZN but BT Sports it’s a get out of jail card?
Eddie’s US offerings have been piss. So have his European offerings.
