Kalle has intimated that Eubank was having a ppv fight in December and it will either be a world title fight or a big fight. Not sure how they think Williams is a big ppv fight but they seem to be pushing the Williams/Eubank narrative.

this sounds like it could be a good fight. would've been even better if Williams had done better in that world title fight.

Not really worse than Cleverly - Bellew 2 tbh. I definitely wouldn’t buy it as a PPV tho, even though I’ve bought tickets to watch Liam Williams plenty of times.

Interview yesterday he was saying big domestic fight so must be Williams.

I wonder will they put it on Josh Taylor's undercard? If they do it's going to be a big clash that night as Hearn is promising to stack Parker Chisora II undercard

Cleverly/Bellew at least had a really good, close first fight and the undercard had a load of names on there albeit not in competitive fights (Degale, Groves, AJ), a couple of world title fights (Quigg and McDonnell) and a step up on paper for Callum Smith.

The main event wasn’t PPv worthy but it was a bigger fight than Eubank Jr/Williams. Will have to see what their undercard will be like.

That's the only good thing with the Hearn PPV's back then.

Where the main event wasn't really PPV worthy, he stacked the card.. Just like the Book-Gavin ppv as well.

Don't pay for any boxing so easy to find everything online now a days. The build up will probably be better than the actual fight. Williams was quiet limited against Andrade but Eubank was limited against Morrison so it might make for a decent scrap.

One thing about this match up is it should be a very good fight

Neither are PPV worthy, especially Williams, but the fight itself should be better than other clashes on PPV that have flopped.

This might get a few. Would love to know how many bought the last Jake Paul ppv on BT, it was a Sunday night too. If they got a few hundred buys for that it would have done well

This is a top match. No need for a title. I think box office is worth it. They’ll both be wanting paid for that fight.

They‘ll hear about him now. He‘s a good sell, as in obviously hard and loves a scrap.

Let's be honest, it's a high quality British title fight or European title fight, or even world title eliminator.

Williams is quite crude, but super fit and strong.
Eubank is also very fit, and as been shown a couple times now - just that level down from the top fighters in the division.

I don't see Eubank having the punch to KO Williams, but he can put them together to get one of the promoters refs to stop it.

Williams would be revved up for this that's for sure.
I'd be backing Williams to be the first to stop Eubank late on.

Sky (Adam Smith) is pretty adamant that all Sky boxing for 2021 will be on Sky Sports and not SBO - so it will be interesting - perhaps this won't be on SBO. Is the Wasserman deal on a fight by fight basis.

To be honest, don't really trust EH now when it comes to PPV - lets see how long before Whyte / Chisora etc will be on DAZN PPV. I give it one fight on "normal" dazn and then these will also be known as "special events".

I totally agree with you but I know my mate who dibs in for the odd fight wouldn't have heard of him .

Eddie Hearn admits DAZN will introduce pay-per-view boxing fights

He told Boxing Social : "It's very important to get the difference of bringing pay-per-view to a platform and bringing it for specific fights.

"Absolutely 100% the aim of DAZN is to bring you traditional pay-per-view nights we've seen in the last five years as part of the monthly subscription.

"They need to have a pay-per-view functionality for unique circumstances, that's the keyword. When you look at it now, Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua. That is not gonna go as part of your DAZN subscription, being quite frank with you.

"So you need pay-per-view functionality to be able to do that. They have pay-per-view functionality within their platform. Whyte-Wallin, Chisora-Parker. These fights you used to see on Sky pay-per-view are 100% not part of that vision."

Boxing fans have criticised DAZN for going back on their decision to promise the best fights by only paying a monthly fee.

Executive vice president of DAZN - Joe Markowski - told FuryJoshua.com in June that big fights go behind pay-per-view barriers "too often" which dilutes "interest" in the sport.

But Hearn claims he's always maintained pay-per-view would exist for "unique circumstances" and that DAZN's model will continue to provide top fights for monthly subscribers.

He continued: "That vision is about providing value for money to subscribers in different ways. Maybe those fights don't land on DAZN so it won't exist, but they need to have pay-per-view functionality for unique events.

"Because that model will not work to attract those mega fights. So they want to be in a position to at least be in the game, when you talk about those once in a year, or twice in a year experiences.

"That doesn't change the plan of taking the events where you would moan about being part of the pay-per-view model and stop making them as pay-per-view, to put them as part of the DAZN schedule."

We will see - already we are seeing some mistruth.

We had in one conversation - it will be one fight a year tops...... then we have in the SAME conversation - ALL of AJ's fights (so that is already more than one a year) plus Whyte vs Fury would be on PPV if dazn got the rights - so that will be at least 3 fights in 2022.

I remember it being clear that it was only going to be the creme de la creme fighting on PPV on Sky with EH also - then soon it became Whyte, Chisora and the like.

So he’s justifying DAZN PPV by citing that they won’t be charging PPV for fights that should never have been PPV in the first place.

Couldn’t make it up.

So in short, we are going back to the model before he started ripping off us with unworthy PPVs.

That’s the opposite of Game. Changed.
