What will be the Terence Crawford strategy to beat Shawn Porter ?
Remember Crawford ran against Viktor Postol in 2016.
Is it going to be something like that ?

Crawford has to run to avoid Shawn's best punch, which is actually his head.
I don't think Crawford wants Porter barging into him. No one likes to get cut. So I fully expect Crawford to spend a lot of time early on going backwards, maybe waiting for Shawn to tire a bit and pot shoting him. Going toe to toe with Shawn Porter is a fools gambit and Crawford is too savvy to get dragged into a war.

I think my strategy would be, prior to the fight, let the referee know that I'm concerned about his headbutting. And then, during the fight, complain about his headbutting a lot.

Running is not a good idea against somebody like Porter. Crawford must impose his own physicality in the fight.

if, at what weight? 160? canelo won't go to 160 anymore. crawford, if at all, i don't think above 160.

The only former opponent Crawford had that reminds me a little of Porter is Felix Diaz. I can't see Crawford slugging it out with Porter like Spence did. Not that he can't do it, just poor strategy imo.

Crawford could fight Josh Taylor who would bring over an army of British fans. Canelo is simply too big.

If Canelo would meet at 160 I'd love to see it. Great fight. Crawford has the skills, but enough chin?

i think craw will look pretty good here, think porters style plays into his hands well. after some slow early rounds like craw often has, porter will be leaping into shots

i had brook beating porter 8-4, think it will be like that fight, but with craw doing more damage

Thinking about porter faded against brook, spence and even broner... right? Or am i misremembering?

Maybe, but I highly doubt it will happen in the first 1/3rd of the fight.
Porter can keep that constant pressure for at least 5 rounds. Crawford is smart enough to wait

For sure, he ain't gonna rough up bud. Porter is tough, might go 12 but Crawford won't run from anyone.

Another thing
Crawford looks at least two inches taller and has more sprawl on his body to put weight on.
Porter is smaller thicker and looks set at the weight already.
The physicals, they both look in good shape.

I was having a look back at Crawford's fights and he hasn't faced anyone that I perceive is as good as Porter, for some years.
